Although the customer service here is very warm and friendly, the product itself(in our case two dressers) do not come with assembly instructions. The product information on the website does mention assembly instructions should be in the box, but in our case both dressers came without. When I called to ask about whether the instructions could be found online, they referred me to assembly instructions for another unit and suggested I figure it out from there. Nice people, crumby product.

You get what you pay for is an understatement. My ‘Waterloo’ sectional, though versatile, is incredibly uncomfortable. Gives you numb bum within 10 minutes of sitting on it. Wood frame has cracked, cushions have disintegrated and crushed and foam is misshaped. Product is sub par and don’t get me started on the customer service problems we had… Save your money and look elsewhere! It might be a good deal — but it’s not worth it.

Customer service was amazing! So knowledgable and friendly. Purchased a fold up dining table to expand when I have more guests over for dinner and it looks great in my new home. Would definitely recommend(especially if you need double duty furniture with lots of storage options).

Modern Sensibility Review: We purchased the Valencia Sofa Bed and Perry Side Table in July 2013. Delivery was delayed as both items were back ordered approximately 3 months for the sofa and 6 months for the table. The table was delayed longer due to being broken before delivery. We had the sofa about 4 months and noticed the tufted part of the fabric was falling apart. It was barely used by me and my wife. I called Modern Sensibility support and the lady told me that there was a common problem with the fabric failing and that she would like to send a new couch and chaise. I was happy to hear this. A week later(February 2014) we got the new sofa and chaise. The bottom of the chaise had a large rip in the fabric. I called Modern Sensibility an hour later after delivery and spoke with support again. Modern Sensibility said a tear in the bottom of the sofa is not visible and is acceptable to them. They said the tear is not a warranty issue. They said they spoke with the delivery service and they claim that there was no damage when they delivered it thus implying I did it. Why I would rip my own sofa is beyond me. They initially told me that they would send a technician to fix the problem but changed their mind. Modern Sensibility instead offered me some fabric(I had to go down to pick it up) so I could fix the problem myself. Really? I thought about it and responded on principle saying no thank you and that I would instead write this honest review to tell it like it is for others to decide on whether to buy or not. Love the design and look of the Valencia sofa but honestly quite shocked at Modern Sensibility. They tried to do the right thing by sending a new sofa. I appreciate that. Sending a ripped replacement sofa and not fixing it properly is not acceptable. They lack quality control, offer poor service and excessively long wait times.

Well I guess you always get what you pay for. This isn’t a place worth saving money at. I bought a sectional sofa from them which I feel I wasted good money on because it is very uncomfortable after I have spent a lot more time on it. But that’s not really my biggest complaint, rather it is the customer service. They only deliver on Saturdays between 2 – 7? that doesn’t help many people who have condos and have to book moving elevators which can also be very difficult since Saturdays are typically always booked by others for that elevator. Attempted deliveries are counted as a delivery so be prepared to lose your cash on that if it doesn’t get done. The people who pick up the phone there are also not good at keeping track at what is going on. Bottom line if you want furniture you will really be happy with, and has better more accommodating customer service, gut it out and spend the cash, in the long run you will be happier.

I paid in full for a coffee table 3 weeks ago and was told that I would get it end of May. It is now June 10. I have not received even 1 call to explain the delay. In fact, the individual mentioned to me last Thursday that the shipment had arrived a few days earlier. I do not understand why it would take 1 week+ to notify customers of a delay, let alone move these items to the store. I have another friend who ordered the same table and she is in the same situation as I am. Where’s the call? Where are our items that we paid for?

BEWARE!!! Customer service here is awful So I bought a sectional sofa bed from here about 7 months ago. When I took the couch home there was a big tear on the bottom. When I called the store they said they were happy to exchange the sofa for me BUT I would have to pay them $ 80 to take the couch back and another $ 80 to deliver a new one to me. I was livid that I was being asked I pay an extra $ 160 to exchange THEIR damaged merchandise. They didn’t really give me any other options or try to work out a deal for me. I doesn’t seem like they are trying to keep their customers. They ended up not replying to me. Also, the cotton on my sofa is starting to wear out big time after only 7 months. Cotton bubbles forming everywhere. And the foam/seats/cushions or whatever they are made of don’t hold their shape very well. You get what you pay for I suppose. My advice, pray your item is not defective if you choose to buy from here

Their furniture is very modern. Perfect for my demographic — modern, sexy, and cool. Great for apartments, condos, and starter homes. Very unique!
