I cannot say enough good things about this studio! The facility is cozy, comforting and cute! Great place to sit back and relax and grab some tea before or after class. The change rooms are very clean and spacious and on a side note, the hand soap smells incredible. The yoga studio is quite big, tons of room which is really nice because there’s less distraction that way. I also love the big windows that lets in natural sunlight. Rental mats are $ 2 and glass jars are $ 1. They also sell yoga clothing, Bmats, manduka mats, and other brands of mats that fit anyones price range. Staff are very warm, friendly and welcoming. Some of the instructors, like Matt are so helpful and ask if you have any requests for class or if you have any questions regarding injuries or help with postures. Each instructor teaches a bit differently, but thats a good thing because you have the chance to try out different poses. Moksha is a different experience compared to Bikram but it all comes down to preference. I found Moksha to feel very calming and soothing where I always entered and left very happy. Instructors encourage you to go at your own pace, and discourage straining or pain. Theres an emphasis on breathing and focusing on the self.

Love this place! The instructors are patient and kind especially Jamie and Scott! Love the hot room and the inviting atmosphere of the place. Super clean and nice! Make sure you’re on time though– the studio is locked during class(which is also a relief to know that nobody can mess with your stuff!)

First class today. Very welcoming environment. I feel invigorated and just a bit taller. Sarah was great looking forward to more!

when first arriving at this studio I immediatly felt welcomed by the lady on reception and by the teacher who was teaching, I bought the $ 40 month intro and after my first week I new I had to continue coming. The studio is small and offers mainly moksha classes as well as the odd vinyasa and pilates class. When you do the first month intro you also get to go to the uptown studio on yonge/st clair they offer a bit more variety. The studio is always clean and I constantly feel welcomed everytime I enter. Would highly reccommend everyone coming and trying out the studio and making their own judgement, I can tell you, You wont be dissapointed all the teachers are amazing

A clean and relaxing studio with a great intro promo: $ 40 for one month, unlimited. You can use the pass at both locations(though I have yet to go to the Uptown Moksha). My favorite instructor is Jen M. She smiles a lot and does a great job of creating an informal and inviting atmosphere. She is excellent with her timing(i.e. does not lose track of people in poses when correcting others) and is very helpful at suggesting how to perfect a pose. Sarah is also good. For those of you who don’t know about Moksha, it incorporates many Bikram-style poses in a less structured and strict environment. Basically, it is friendly Bikram and workout is just as good. The room is hot so you better like to sweat. Another great addition to the St Clair West hood!

St. Clair West is the newest Moksha Yoga location, opening in mid-December by the owners of Moksha Uptown. Pros: The same hot classes and instructors as Moksha Uptown. Passes are transferable between the two. Usually passes are not transferable between Moksha studios because each is independently owned(except these two). Cons(subjective): 1 studio(hot) No non-hot studio(fine for me) 1 shower 1 toilet stall Another pro for me is that I live closer to the new location than Uptown. If you too live in the neighbourhood and/or can get home quickly to shower anyway, then the single shower is fine. The place sort of looks like it was set up as a temporary studio while the other studio was being renovated, only it’s not. It’s basically Uptown’s «mini me». On days I want to take a hot class I check the schedules at both studios to see what’s more convenient at the time, and sometimes take the listed teacher into consideration. I’d say check it out and see what you think. Uptown is a 20 minute streetcar ride away.
