Monster Plowing Company

My husband travels for work and I am working in Toronto. We used to take care of our rental properties ourselves but due to challenging work circumstances we’ve had to hire out the various work required to keep our tenants happy. To avoid potential disasters we generally hire contractors based on word of mouth, and a friend had recommended Monster Plowing to take care of the snow work.
They were able to contract all three of our homes even though they are in different areas of the city. Although my husband and I are always away from home it was very easy for us to deal with the Monster Plowing Company’s staff over the phone and email.
Once the initial paperwork was taken care of they regularly came out to clear the properties whenever there was a snowfall. They charged us a flat rate fee for the winter which was also easy to pay with postdated checks sent in the mail. We did not get any other quotes so I cant comment on their prices, but they did give us a discount because we signed up for multiple properties.
Overall, we are happy with their work and so are our tenants.

They are punctual, up-​front, and do great work. While battling the winter weather on my way home, I was always astonished to find my driveway looking like it never snowed! The driveway has a hill up to my garage, so if it is icy my car wouldn’t make it up there, but I noticed that there was always extra salt on the steepest part of the hill.

We have been extremely pleased with your consistent effort (you’ve always been here like its drawn up by your contract), communication (those email updates you send when wintery weather is incoming are so useful), and delivery of the service that we pay for (you’ve never charged us anything beyond our agreed upon fees).
I know our tenants had difficult times in the past with snow removal, but your staff has really performed outstandingly to keep them happy. In addition, we are very pleased with your attention to detail and the quality work your staff do for our tenants. Keep up the good work and know that it is very much appreciated by us.

I live on a small private road in Toronto, which means the city is not responsible for clearing snow on my roadway. This is why a contract with MP has been so important. That being said, there has not been one time this winter so far where MP has cleared my road in a timely fashion in order to allow me to get to work on time. This past weekend it snowed both days, and by Monday morning, MP had not cleared my road once. The previous week when we received upwards of 20 cms of snow, MP arrived AFTER the neighbours had gotten home from work and cleared the road in a community effort ourselves. What then is the purpose of having a contract that states all snow must be cleared 8 hours after it has stopped snowing? I am extremely disappointed with the quality and timeliness of this contractor. I would not recommend them if you want to get to work on time or need your roads cleared properly.

Thank you Monster Plowing for the super fast response today in the middle of this ice storm, in less than an hour after we have sent a request to put a de-​icer on the driveway.
