I called this plumbing company on Sunday of the Family Day long weekend as I had a broken tub drain pipe. My regular plumber told me Tuesday and New Canadian Plumbing told me they would be there on Monday between 11am and noon. Well that did not happen, in fact I called them a few times during the day and they kept telling me different times but not once did they ever call me to say they would be late. Finally after 6 pm the plumber called me and told me he couldn’t get parts and I should call them Tuesday. Tuesday I don’t think so on Tuesday morning I will be calling my regular plumber and will never try New Canadian Plumbing again Don’t lie about when you can come and at least keep your customers up to date I had lots of other things to do that day besides waiting for a plumber What a JOKE this place is.

As realtors, we are asked to recommend trades like plumbers all the time. But what better show of trust than who you call when it’s YOUR house? We have had New Canadians do two major jobs in our own home, replacing lead pipes and the next year full basement drain replacement & waterproofing. They are fast(quotes same or next day, work often started the day after that), efficient(sometimes there was quite a crew down there) and honest. They know their stuff, and I’d much rather trust the guys who do thousands of jobs than someone’s uncle’s friend. After the one big job there was no question who we were going to call the second time around. NC has done jobs for several of our clients and they’ve been happy too, so we continue to recommend them.

I suspect the other reviewer will have his problem return, but I digress. The best way to return home after a decadent weekend of reconnecting with your spouse is to an inch of foul-smelling water in your BRANDNEW basement resulting from shoddy workmanship during your massive and all-consuming home reno. Amirite??? We called New Canadian on the advice of a neighbour, right away, and they came within 45 minutes. They fixed the problem that day. And provided us with a quote for the work that should be done to ensure long-term protection. Awesome.

Watch out for these guys. Very slippery operators. Our basement drain backed up, and I made the mistake of calling New Canadian Drain & Plumbing. Their«drain technician» charged me $ 200 to put a camera down the drain, and said we needed to replace our outside trap, at a cost of $ 2,200. When I asked if it could simply be pumped out, he completely dismissed the idea. Even though I didn’t commit to the $ 2,200 job, he spray-painted a glaring fluorescent orange line on the driveway to mark the location of the trap. The next day, I was able to connect with a trusted plumber that my in-laws have dealt with for years.(Unfortunately, we hadn’t been able to reach him right away.) He opened the outside trap, stuck in a snake, yanked on it a few times, and it was cleared. He fixed the problem in about 10 minutes without setting foot in the house — all for $ 200. No cameras, no B.S. And contrary to what«Charlotte» says below, it’s been fine ever since. Again, be careful. These folks plant a lot of bogus«reviews.» «Charlotte» may be one of them.
