Kim really is an honest stylist that will tell you what is best for you. I went in wanting Balayage and instead of choosing to do that for me and make a bunch of money, she asked if I was sure and told me personally not to mess with my hair. Easy to talk to, Kim really is an excellent stylist!

I went to Kim for my first cut with a Groupon deal and she was an amazing stylist. Gave me a very stylish hi-​lo bob which I got compliments all the time. The hair colour on the other hand was nothing close to the purple I asked for and they tried to convince me that red was a better colour on me… I gave her a second chance a year later to cut my hair back to the style she had originally given and boy was that a mistake! With her being focused on chatting and totally not having any food all day, I ended up with a choppy haircut that was way shorter than I had asked and nothing close to what I wanted after being there for almost 2hrs! I never went back.

I had a very similar experience as Livia L., after trying to book an appointment for days, I received a rude and paranoid response by Kim. As I was complaining about the fact it’s impossible to get an appointment, she asked me to return my Groupon. Extremely unprofessional and condescending.

If you’re considering giving these guys a try, please rethink it.
I purchased a voucher from Groupon for highlights and was told to contact Oskar on Scollard directly to schedule an appointment. I called them around 10 times, texted their number as per their request (what kind of business schedules appointments through text messages?) and sent them an e-​mail. It took them FOUR days to respond to me; I had already opted for a refund at that point. Also, the response I got wasn’t pleasant.
Someone by the name of Kim replied to my e-​mail. I, disappointed, proceeded to tell her that I had gotten a refund and her business was a joke (FOUR days trying to schedule an appointment…). She then e-​mails me back calling me an ignorant person and telling me I’m cyber bullying her. How? I don’t know.
So I tell her that unfortunately for her I work with Groupon and will have to tell them about her response. She then starts threatening me, telling me she’s going to inform Groupon’s head office of my behaviour; now bear with me: I never said I worked FOR Groupon — I work for a partnering company. But what if I did? This angry lady who has provided a horrible service this far could have cost me my job.
Kim then uses my e-​mail address to find me on Facebook, and starts mocking my nationality (yes, she went there) and says she’s sorry for X (my husband). I stopped reading her e-​mails after that.
So, long story short, if you make a negative comment about this business, there’s a chance they’ll call you names, stalk you online, make fun of your nationality and talk shit about your family.
I’d STAY AWAY from these guys.

Horrendous. Absolutely horrendous. Please please please save your money and sanity. I bought a Groupon for this place and was cancelled on not once, but twice, after waiting a month for my appointment! The staff were extremely rude and condescending. They didn’t seem to care at all that I walked 30 minutes to get to the salon only to be told AT THE SALON that my appointment was cancelled. They didn’t even have the courtesy to call me so I didn’t waste my time. Also don’t bother calling. They don’t pick up their phone. You have to book an appointment via email. Bizzare. I filed a complaint with Groupon and got a refund.

Best cut in years! I echo everyone else’s feedback, Owner and Senior Stylist, Kim truly knows hair and hair style. I got exactly what I asked for and feel transformed. If you’re looking to start off this New Year transformed, call Kim.
Tip: It appears everyone else knows how fabulous Kim and Oskar On Scollard is, so I suggest booking weeks in advance.

I could not believe that I travelled 45 minutes for an appointment and no one was there. I waited 1 hour and then called Groupon and told them I wanted a refund. The girl called me the night before to confirm with me. I couldn’t believe I waited an hour.
Oh well must have been a blessing in disguise. What kind of people do business like this. So what do you have to say for yourself little MISS YORKVILLE HAIR STYLIST.

First visit and used a Groupon. It was a wonderful experience from start to end. Danik did my highlights and did a great job. Kim did the cut and I got exactly what I asked for. The environment is very comfortable (not like your typical Yorkville salon). I’ll definitely be coming back as a regular customer from now on. With Groupon these types of visits are always hit or miss — this was a definite hit.

Kim and Dany were fantastic! I was a groupon client and they took care of me like any other yorkville client of theirs. I asked for full highlights and cut and they did exactly what I asked for. The colour was beautiful and the highlights were subtle as I asked. We had great conversation and they were doing a fantastic job on all of their other clients groupon or not.
