Local hardware store that has expanded to provide a little of everything for the small DIY projects. They cut the best keys, bar none. In terms of plumbing, ask for Vince. They are a landmark on Roncesvalles and important to the neighbourhood.

Pollock’s is a pretty huge operation for one that’s still local: they take up a couple of storefronts together on Roncesvalles, and do hardware, plumbing, glazing, and even sell carpets. It makes it tough to find your way around, but it’s no different than most other hardware stores in that respect. Pollock’s has a pretty long reach for a customer base, even before the Stockyards power centre(with its Canadian Tire-Home Depot-Rona triple whammy) put some of the surrounding hardware stores out of business. Flyers from Pollock’s would turn up as far away as Jane Street, advertising all sorts of crazy deals and doorcrashers. The next time I need a $ 20 toilet, I’m there.
