Prestige Nail Salon and Spa

I just moved to the area and I’ve walked by this place a few times. I finally tried it out for a pedicure and the staff and service were great. Its a clean and modern looking salon and they have those massage chairs which I like. I walked in close to closing and they still took me and didn’t rush me or make me feel like a jerk, which I kinda was for walking in so close to closing. I’ll definitely be back.

Was so sad! Yesterday I went there to make a manicure and pedicure but was awful the attention that we get from the young lady who was in charge; we arrived 10 minutes late the traffic at the Eglinton was terrible we apologies for that many times when we arrive there. The lady who supposed to do the manicure explain to us that maybe she don’t will have enough time to do everything which was okay for us we know that we are late, we decided who go firth; my friend has a little girl with her and the baby asked for breastfeeding, the lady in charge immediately get more angry twisted her eyes and mouth my friend tell her that don’t worry she said «give me any other spot available I wait but I need to breastfeeding my baby»… In Every second her attitude get worse… I was ready to do my pedicure and manicure but I couldn’t I take my friend there to have a relaxing moment … No this!!! I already cancel other appointment that I make for a friend to this Saturday… I feel so sad !!! I was so happy to found a place close to my home…

3 stars are for their nail service which is not bad, but –2 points for their bad hairdressers that they hire.

Edit: confirmed that this isn’t the place I have issue with. The one that did the Groupon trick doesn’t seem to have a Unilocal page. I’ve changed my rating to four stars as to minimize the effect my review has as I’ve never done business with this salon.
If I could give a zero I would. I received a pair of groupons to this place for my birthday for me and my SO and when I tried to redeem them they refused and said they are not accepting them anymore even though they were nowhere near expired and that I have to speak with Groupon about a refund. They sold these things to promote themselves and make a quick buck and then got greedy and refused to honor them. Companies like this do not deserve to remain in business.

I was very put off by my visit. On a positive note, the ladies offered me a coffee. I had booked an appointment and after waiting 20 minutes (I would have had to wait longer), I left. No phone call to apologize, nothing. I work in a customer service related field, and I would NEVER let my client wait for me if we had scheduled an appointment. They pay me, I am on time, and if anything I wait for them. I will not be coming back.

This salon is near my apartment. There are a few other salons in this location. However after visiting this one I wont need to go to any other. It’s gone under new management 3 months ago. The staff is vary friendly. Will offer you coffee, tea or water while you wait. Prices aren’t bad either. I got a trim and a eyebrow wax for a total of $ 37.
