What a deal! A friend and I headed here for a screening of Chasing Ice and were so pleased to find out that it would be $ 16 for the two of us, and the kicker was that because we were the only people there for the screening we had the whole theatre to ourselves. $ 16 for a private screening? And supporting a small local theatre? A friday afternoon well spent. They have special theme nights, double features etc that I’m told are much better attended than a doc on a friday afternoon. Note to those interested, the proprietor also told us that he’s building a stage and is going to start having live burlesque nights in the near future. So watch out for that.

This is an OK older theatre. Ancient seats and kinda rundown looking but still a decent place to see a movie. Popcorn & pop easily as pricey as a modern megabuck theatre and the popcorn really was not that good. Staff was very friendly and efficient.

This place is great for the authentic movie experience. The guys here are super cool and you just know they run the theatre for the pure love of cinema and the theatre experience… just saw Battle Royale the other day at the Projection Booth and it was the perfect venue to see this gritty original Hunger Games. the location is great if driving, as you can find free street parking after 6 in certain areas on the main Gerrard strip. They run a bunch of events for the true indie theatre lover, so I would recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a cool venue(totally no frills) with cool owners who make you feel welcome in their abode :)
