This place is hungry man approved for brunch. Weekend brunch — for $ 15 you can get an 8 oz. steak, two fat eggs benny and some real home fries(not McCains tater tots, but a real sliced up potato, albeit deep fried) and a couple of pieces of fruit. The steak was cooked medium rare as ordered, had a good charred taste to it, was soft and juicy. I was surprised at how good it was actually, not tough and chewy at all. The eggs benny were good, decent hollandaise sauce, and the home fries as I said were real potatoes. I always check for that, I am amazed at how many places try to get away with processed french fry chunks and call them ‘home fries’. But this place used real potatoes. For the money you really can’t go wrong with this breakfast. Wife’s spinach and salmon omelet was good too, decent sized portion. Server girl was nice to us, no complaints about the service. If you put a gun to my head then my only complaint is that tea/coffee doesn’t come with the cost of the breakfast but whatever, considering I ate a delicious steak and eggs for $ 15 and the wife was happy with her omelet too, I’m not gonna dock a star there. Sunday brunch atmosphere is quiet. I will definitely be coming back here given the value I got for the steak and eggs breakfast. Street parking is $ 1.50 an hour.

Came in here on a Thursday for a late lunch/early dinner. Service was great, bartender was really friendly. The food was fast fresh and fantastic. I would definitely come back.

Bought a groupon, and decided to come here for brunch today. Good portion sizes, but their food is just meh. Our peanut butter packs were also open… I don’t know why the server would still bring it to the table. Don’t even know who touched them! The server was also such a pain to deal with. She was giving us attitude the whole time and rude. no customer service skills at all.

Good spot for grub on a stretch that is kind of lacking. Good value, good food. Nothing worth a trip from elsewhere in the city but if you’re in the area and hungry, I definitely recommend Remarks. Last trip I had the Tandoori Chicken and it was quite good, great portions too. Schnitzel, liver and onions, lamb curry are all good bets. They have specials of the day and other promotions(half price appetizers currently) so all around good value. Go after 6pm on weekdays for free street parking.

Was there on a Friday night — busy but not packed. Service was good. I ordered the chicken quesadilla it was a large portion lots of filling and great value. My date had the steak special which was even better value. Juicy bbq grilled steak to perfection a large starter salad and a mountain of potatoes. I would definitely go back.

I have been a regular at Remarks for quite few years. The restaurant has recently had a change in ownership which has not been a good thing. The staff they retained are still excellent. The new staff are iffy at best and the new owners don’t seem to give a damn about their patrons. I ordered their special tonight — Fajitas which I have had many times — tonight I got pita triangles instead of warm tortillas and was told after two time complaining they had run out — HAHAHA — this restaurant does not have enough business to run out of anything. — the new owners thought the could get away with substituting and that their patrons would not notice… Notice to the new onwers, keep it up and you will not have our business or any of our neighbours or friends business either. Will give it one more try or move on as there are lots to choose from in this area.

Food for the money quite good value. Audio on TV’s far too loud. Couldn’t talk with friends. Could be busier than expected but service not as good as on previous occasions. A lot of good restaurants/pubs In the area. Not sure I’ll soon be back.

Great food. I love the Remarkable Burger and my wife always goes for the Landmark Wrap. The fries are fantastic. We used to live nearby, and we still go back even though we moved across town.

Non-descript bar and grill, but fairly decent place for food. Went for dinner one night with the family, and it was fairly child friendly, with high chairs and the like. The owners are Sri-Lankan so they have some more exotic items on the menu than one would expect. When we went it was Pasta night. I had ravioli with butternut squash, which was pretty standard, my husband had the jumbalaya in mild, which he says was flavourful but not spicy. My dad ordered their spicy/curry pasta, which was an interesting fusion and worked well. Staff was friendly and checking on us, with the kiddo, but it was fairly quiet given it was a Tuesday night. I’ll come back to try the brunch sometime.

Just came here tonight for a halloween party. We had some tit bits and they were a ok. What else can I add? It’s a friendly bar and the beer is the standard stuff.

Pretty good food, nothing super spectacular and a menu that’s pretty much all over the place, makes you wonder about the quality of some of it. Normal beer selection — mostly domestic. I think it was renovated a few years ago from a dive so some of the clientele seem a little rough around the edges. The place is actually very cozy and quite nice on the inside — comfortable seats, some leather chairs. Overall, not a bad experience and I definitely don’t mind going once in a while when I want a beer and some decent bar food to go with it.
