Rock World

In town for World Pride, a sweater hanging by the door caught my eye. I didn’t even realize it was a smoking enthusiasts shop until coming to the wall behind the cash.
Lots of lovely clothing and band patches for sale. Posters and clever things to hide your valuables away from theft that look like normal household items.
Their glassware is gorgeous. I am not the clientele target for their use but cannot deny how much love and care goes into their creations.
Staff were fantastic, the owner is on site and you can tell why everyone is so happy to work there. He’s very chill & easy to deal with.
Awesome store, I’ll definitely visit it again in the future.

i was a little tickled when i added this business as i had to enter one of the categories as being «hobby shops». now you hobbyists might not regard this store as being on par with paul’s puzzles or marks model airplanes or nors’s knitting, but there sure is enough paraphernalia here to involve yourself with another type of pseudo hobby. the kind of hobby where you might require a few small tools, a pouch and i suppose if you are a major hobbyist, a scale to, um, you know, weigh stuff.
well about half the length of this store had a glassed counter that housed a very eclectic display of ways to smoke, um, er, well and you know stuff. there were lots of those swirly glass pipes that change colour when you smoke; that seemed to take up the focus and if not those small ones, then the bongs that towered above them.
they also had on display many kinds of rolling papers — like bacon flavoured for example. (does that kind of kill two birds with one stone — no pun intended — where you can forgo the munchies later?). weird.
the majority of the space in this store, however, is occupied by hundreds of rock inspired tshirts that run somewhere around 25 bucks or so — worth it, questionable, but in terms of decorated tshirts, they are quite affordable.
its not a place for someone who is interested in all aspects of hemp, lets say. theres no literature, or bags made of hemp, etc. its a place where one might go to prepare for a concert lets say.
if i needed garments themed in this regard, or tools for my couch hobby i this would be a fine place. its as professional, clean and easy to navigate as any other well run business, at least as from the viewpoint of the customer.
