Avra represented my husband during a long and protracted battle over finances with his ex. These are never easy situations, but Avra’s representation made it much more difficult than it had to be. She was unresponsive and uncommunicative. She refused to negotiate with the other side. Just when we needed her most, she made repeated requests to be released, even though she knew that the cost of replacing her was very high.
At one point, when we had a motion that had to be filed for a Monday hearing, she failed to tell us that she was asking for a delay and that she was taking Thursday and Friday off. We spent 4 days in fear that we were unrepresented on Monday. Because we live in the US, it was impossible to find out if anything had been filed.
Finally we hired another lawyer who worked with her and got the matter resolved, but it was long and painful and ridiculously expensive.
These are never easy situations. Emotions and dollars run high, but if you need an strong advocate, do not call Avra Rosen. She knows the law, but knows nothing about client service, advocacy, conflict resolution, or communication.
