Sandwich World is probably better known for its Indian food than its sandwiches(in fact, I’ve never seen anyone buy sandwiches there). $ 4 including tax gets you a heaping box of rice, curry, and your choice of salad(like chickpeas or tuna pasta salad). For an extra buck you can get biryani rice instead. Besides Indian food, they have other items like meatballs and roasted chicken. The curry chicken is a bit dry, but for $ 4 what do you expect? It’s one of the few mom and pop places in the PATH and beats the innumerable Jimmy the Greeks and Harvey’s any day of the week.

Meh… that’s exactly how I felt after experiencing Sandwich World. PRO: It’s CHEAP. $ 4INCLUDING taxes gets you 2 salads and your choice of sandwich, a piece of roast chicken, amongst other things. There’s usually a line-up but it moves fast as everything is ready and waiting on a table. CONS: After all the tasty, fresh salad places around, their choices of salad consisting of coleslaw, chickpeas and plain green salad were disappointing. The food doesn’t taste very fresh. Despite its cheap price, I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon, unless I was really hungry and only had $ 4 to my name.
