The staff at night make the best flat white coffee that I’ve had in T.O. Free wifi good.

I was craving for their cake but ended up with their nutella cookies, taste okay but nothing special, I expected it to be a soft baked cookie rather than hard. The place is a little bit dirty, couple of used plates around the tables, nobody’s clean it up.

To those who know me, it’s no secret I’m not a coffee person(half a cup of decaf is like 10 cups of super caffeinated coffee for me). However, I have a special place in my heart for this location. The staff here are always super friendly, patient and helpful(no tude) the seating is(albeit a tad squishy when full) comfy and sunny. It always takes me forever to decide what I want — sure, I think to myself, I’ll have a coffee — yeah — no. So, uh maybe a tea? But look at all those super yummy cakes beckoning to me like there are neon signs with my name on them… so sucked in once again! It’s a warm place that welcoming and sunny on a wintery day.

I prefer the coffee at Second Cup over the very nearby coffee shops. This location also has the best WiFi of all the surrounding shops as well. My only problem with this location is the customers that frequent it. Normally I mind my own business, and quietly do my work or chat, but there is a gang of «regulars» that practically live at this coffee shop. They often scream and curse at each other, and have loud conversations about how much they hate women and other inane subject matter. A real shame that I have to settle for inferior coffee just because of the other customers.

This Second Cup is in a great location, and tends to be cozy due to the music playing and the light offered by the many windows. However, I have repeatedly found it too difficult to do schoolwork or have a quiet conversation with friends here due to a number of regulars, who are there daily and are often very loud, disruptive, and even somewhat aggressive. As such, I will study at the Aroma or Starbucks in the area to feel more comfortable and secure during afternoons spent studying.

Psst! Psst! *waves you over* Shhhh, don’t tell anyone but I am Unilocaling about this Second Cup WHILEAT the Second Cup…(devilish I know)… BUT the kicker is that I am using the WIFI from the Starbucks across the street. It’s much faster than the one provided at this building. I tried connecting and there were numerous failed attempts to be had. If you come here make sure you connect to the other coffee house… across the street… … And the French Lemon Tarts were too sour.

To me, this is just a regular Second Cup. But I like the drinks at Second Cup, particularly the iced caramel machiato and the iced white mocha. They do have a nice patio on the side, and it’s located in a great neighbourhood(The Annex).

I’m a nerd and a fan of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel. So I could not wait to get a coffee here and the did not disappoint if Second Cup came to the state Starbucks would be hurting.

I discovered this Second Cup location on my way back home from purchasing something from Honest Ed’s and was surprised that it has an original coffeehouse feel to it. With an outdoor patio, comfortable indoor seating, and friendly baristas, I really fell for this place. An eclectic mix of customers, great selection of menu items, and plenty of natural light pouring into the store helps make this my favorite Second Cup location in all of Toronto. Highly recommended for those wanting to break free from the Starbucks mold.

I love this Second Cup outlet. Comfortable seating inside with nice patio outside in the summer, good staff, good coffee. Nice place to go and relax or hang with a friend.

I personally think this is one of the best second cups in the city — the biggest perk in my book is that they’re open until midnight every day, which is definitely rare in this early-bird city. The staff are really cool, and they start to remember you after a pretty short time. And now, they even have a nifty student discount — a free size upgrade with any form of student ID! The only drawback would be it can get crowded, but it has a distinctly local flavor that I appreciate — lots of regulars here, for sure.

This particular Second Cup is my favourite one, I’ve been going for years on the weekends as it’s close to home. They have a lovely patio which catches the morning sun brilliantly and it’s great for people watching in the summer months. The staff are all great and I’ve always preferred Second Cup coffee over Starbucks(apologies Starbucks junkies!) Plus, hey, Second Cup is a Canadian owned company!
