I was surprised to see bad reviews about this place because I had a wonderful experience. Looking at the dates of the bad reviews I’m thinking the owner read them and improved the services based on complaints in the past. It was easy to book and they called to remind me of my appointment. Janelle was taking care of me today. I purchased a Groupon for a 2 hr spa treatment with a mani/pedi, massage and facial. She started with the massage which was relaxing. Next was the facial. Janelle asked me about my skin so she could use the appropriate products. She told me about each product she was using as she put them on; all of them being organic. Next was the mani/pedi which was done very well. Not a huge variety of colours but I found two that I liked. The place was very clean, and there was a nice view of the water front. The foot bath was cleaned after my mani/pedi as well. Spa water and tea were available and the sounds of relaxing music and a waterfall were present throughout the spa. I was pleased with the massage/facial room as well. One of my biggest pet peeves at spas is being able to hear walking, talking and every little sound while you are getting a massage as it ruins the ambiance. Here, I didn’t have that issue. There were few noises but nothing that was disruptive to the serenity of my treatments. I would go back here for sure. A nice, affordable spa.

Great place for a spa day with a friend with a very reasonable price with buytopia– quaint nail area is secluded and truly a private feeling. The tablet to enter information once you enter was very slow, awkward and very time consuming. Yes I understand it is paperless, but it shouldn’t take 10 – 15 mins to register — be sure to arrive early. And be sure to print and bring your coupon(even though they are paperless?) There is limited parking with all the current construction so TTC is the better way if you aren’t within walking distance. Service providers were sweet and amusing to chat with. Massage and facial were soooo relaxing. Nice hot towels after each limb to remove oil, no interruptions or odd noise. The mani-pedi did the job to finish off a great spa day. Definitely splurge the extra $ 30 for a 60 min massage for full body bliss :) If you are looking for a Hollywood style spa — this is not an upscale oasis — head to Yorkville and pay their high prices… I did book another session in a month with my friend again — great price point for $ 99.(60 min massage, facial, mani and pedi)

I came here last summer with a group of friends I hadn’t seen in a while and we thought it’d be fun to have a girls afternoon. We too, should have known better, and had succumbed to this Groupon thing. We were first greeted by a lady who was very courteous and we were offered a glass of plain water. Shortly after, we were led to separate rooms to start our experience. Our groupon entailed a 30 minute massage/facial and a manicure & pedicure. The massage and facial were definitely both extremely mediocre. I felt like I was being tickled more so than massaged the whole time. I also felt that the facial was just random lotions splotched on me for short periods of time. I definitely felt neither refreshed nor cleansed after these. The mani & pedi were also just as mediocre. We had some girls do a very messy job on both the hands and feet. I had nail polish on outside of my nails in multiple fingers and toes. They also didn’t let us fully dry before letting us go resulting in chipped polish very soon after. Instead of wiping away the whole nail and starting again, they used a bit of polish to just«fill the chip» and it looked completely like a botch job. Overall, I realize that this was a Groupon thing but I just experienced another spa recently and it was also on a «Spa Week» promotion and 10 times better. I would definitely never pay full price to this place and even if there was another Groupon, I would still not go again.

Came here to use a coupon I received. Horrible experience, I would not refer to this place as a spa. Ambiance is non-existent. The photos posted are VERY misleading. There were no candles, drafty massage rooms, annoying elevator music and old, dusty equipment. Massage — felt like a backrub from a friend — the ‘masseuse’ had cold hands — she didn’t lay a towel to line the hole for my face, expecting me to place my face directly on the bed… SOGROSS. I had to ask for the towel and she seemed completely clueless as to what I was talking about Facial — you get two lotions rubbed on your face and some scratchy hot towels — my skin was softer afterwards but I also get the same results with my Bioderm at home Threading — barely shaped my eyebrows — the look is nowhere near as nice as you would expect anyone with competent threading abilities to produce Manicure 2 hours after receiving my mani, the area around my cuticles are RED and feels like the skin has been rubbed raw. I have never had this reaction to a mani before so I really have no idea what they did to me. Overall: horrible, stay away. Save your money for a real spa experience or just do everything yourself for the same results. I would give this zero stars if I could.

Like many others, I ended up here on a group buy offer. It sounded great! The voucher was for: 30 minute relaxation massage 45 minute oxygenating facial Life in the Metro manicure and pedicure Actual value was $ 189, apparently Things started to go a bit wrong with booking. It looked so great! Their website had a specific link for group buy offers where you could enter your details and request a day/general time. I filled it all in on the Friday before my vacation week in mid-May and was looking forward to my treat. I heard nothing. I emailed them late the following week to be told that online booking didn’t work. Great. Thanks for the warning on the website! My voucher expiry date was July 15th. I was unable to get an appointment on that vacation week and they were booked up all weekends until mid August so I ended up booking this Friday(june 14th). I was lucky enough to have another week off; albeit a very busy one where I really didn’t feel like giving up a few hours! I arrived at 3.20pm for my 3.30pm appointment and amused myself for 5 minutes while the girl on reception talked on the phone. I got myself some water and fidgeted a bit. When she was ready, she took my voucher and gave me a tablet to fill out details and medical details etc. I then waited until 3.45pm before someone came to start my treatment. She informed me that she was taking me because I looked like I was stressing about the time. Ouch. Must remember not to look at my watch when I’m being delayed. Naughty. No apology whatsoever from her. I was told to undress and lie face down for the massage. It was OK. It was certainly nothing like an RMT massage. It seemed random and haphazard. I wasn’t very relaxed. Only positives were that it was neither too painful nor too light and feathery strokey. Facial was next and was also fine. I’ve no idea what products she used and don’t recall being told about any oxygen. There was steam though. I dozed a bit because I was completely exhausted. It was over before I knew it! Probably because it was done by 4.35pm. Time for 30min massage and 45 min facial=45 minutes. There followed a decent pedicure(with a massage chair that only did vibrate), a 15 minute wait for a manicure spot and a manicure that smudged on the way home. The aesthetician was nice enough but her top was filthy, she told me my eyebrows were terrible and she complained about the previous customers to me. They’d had the audacity to ask if they could shower after their treatment. In a spa. Imagine! Did I feel relaxed? During the facial, yes. But only then. They offer the same deal themselves and I wasn’t even remotely tempted to buy. The spa is also not very spa-like. When I think spa I’m anticipating an oasis and escape. This was basically a few very basic treatment rooms and a small nail salon. It looked nothing like the photos that have been uploaded here. I’m not sure they’re even of the same place. Positives: nice glasses for water, cute basins and faucets for pedicure, clean, some staff seemed nice, location on the harbourfront Negatives: everything else
