Splendid Nails

This is a great nail salon. Its always busy but they always accommodate you even if you don’t have an appointment. Helen is amazing i highly recommend her she does a great job!

I had a really mad experience at the place. I got a cut and bled because the women was in a rush filing my nails! I would not recommend the place to anyone!!!

I use to love this place when it opened but I find it’s gone down hill. The owner does do a great job but it’s hard to get her. I even book apts with her but when I get there she passes me to someone else. I’ve even seen. that happen with other customers many times — they book with her but she’ll take a walk in a few mins before then they come and are pushed to someone else and rightfully angry. I’ve finally gotten fed up. Not to mention you can’t ask them any questions bc they are too busy talking to each other in their native language. Why bother booking apts if you are not going to honour them? Waste if everyone’s time. I’m sure I can find a place that respects me as a paying customer.

Helen is my go-​to nail expert. I haven’t been here since she took her maternity leave but so glad she is back! All the other girls are lovely too, never rude. Drop-​ins always get the «how are you? Pick a color please» welcome and it’s always nice that they take the time in giving you options on style preference and pricing.
Mani pedi and daughter’s nail polish+ design came up to about $ 50 so not bad at all. Helen’s foot massages are to die for. Just for 3 minutes of intense pressure and it hurts sometimes but I feel energetic right after.
A male did my mani today and was quite surprised with his expertise on cuticle removal (I know, gross!) but how many women have husbands that lift heavy things and then transform into your sorority sister the next? He is also the owner, as I later on found out. Then again, it takes actual knowledge and practice to run a successful business.
His wife must get great back rubs!
But do come here for the consistent service and quality!

I started going to this nail salon last summer, so for almost a year now. It had just opened when I started going and I walked in off the street because I figured I’d take a chance, it looked clean and it was close to home.
I was greeted by the owner, a pleasant Chinese woman, who did my nails that day. Since then, I’ve been back at least once a month for manicures and pedicures. Those are the only things I’ve had done, but I would suspect that the other services are pretty good as well.
The spa is new and everything is spacious and clean. They have massaging chairs for pedicures and the prices are reasonable.
It’s a basic nail place, so the bells and whistles are not numerous, but that suits me fine because it keeps the price down, allows for walk-​ins and gets you in and out pretty quickly.
Some of the ladies in the salon do a better job than others, but no one does a bad job. I have had plenty of bad manicures before, so I know what a bad job looks like. Just don’t go expecting someone to fuss over you, or give you plenty of conversation. English is not the first language and I have never felt the need to force conversation.
In this past year I have noticed a huge increase in the number of people that go to this spa, so they seem to be doing quite well. I have never had to wait more than ten minutes for service though and I’m happier they are busy because it means they are doing well and will stay in business. Good for them AND for me!
