I still love Johnny Vos and his crew( ) but he’s now always easy to get into-too popular! I was looking around for somebody else to undo all the damage I inflict on myself. I think I found Steve through Google, or maybe RMT Find. I found Leslie’s review and decided to give him a try. Booking was blissfully easy. He has online booking where you can see availability easily and book in a few clicks. It will sync all the details to Google calendar etc and sends automatic email reminders. HIs site also gives details on how to find the clinic which is on Alexander St, just off Yonge. I was thrilled to be able to make an appointment within a few days of wanting my massage. And on a Saturday! The building isn’t in great shape but his office is lovely. Spotlessly clean and peaceful. He wasn’t overly chatty but that kind of suited me. I didn’t have to make an effort! Music was unfortunately pan pipes. I think I might ask for something else next time. The massage was firm but not painful which was what I wanted that day. He also managed to work on all my sore spots in the 75 minute slot. He even discovered knots I didn’t know I had in my lower back. It was relaxing despite being enthusiastic enough to make a difference to my tight muscles and I may have drooled slightly on the floor during a dreamy interlude. I was tired! Things I particularly liked: I paid for 75 minutes and got 75 minutes of being massaged. Not the 60 minutes some will give. When I was lying on my back he gave me an eye mask which made it extra relaxing and removed that debate of eyes open vs closed He left a damp cloth to wipe down any oil He remembered that I’d asked for my right arm to be worked on and made sure he got to it! One thing worth mentioning is that it’s cash or cheque only. You’ll get an RMT receipt for insurance purposes though. Rates are pretty standard I think-I paid $ 105(HST included) for a 75 minute massage. He commented on my tight left hip and said we could work on it next time… if I decided to come back. I told him I’d definitely be back. I fear it may have come across as a bit of a threat but I really just meant to convey my appreciation for the great massage!

BOTTOMLINE: If you want a «spa-ssage», move along. But if you want a REAL massage, this is your place! I’ve been getting massages here for about 2 years and the best thing is the amount of pressure Steve can apply(or adjust accordingly) to really get into them knots. I have a fairly sensitive back but none of my previous RMTs ever pressed hard enough for me to find out. With Steve, however, I nearly screamed out loud at the amount of pressure he initially applied! After a fairly quick adjustment period, we have things adjusted just right. It’s located right above Pi Tom’s in a drabby office building, but the office itself is new, clean and always smells nice. Besides offering deep tissue massages, he offers a variety of options(as listed on the website) including Thai yoga massage, sports massage, hot stone massage, reflexology and more. You can book your via an online appointment page, which is incredibly convenient — you know instantly when it’ll be! And finally, the pricing is competitive and one of the lowest in the downtown core.
