Stott Pilates Studio & Corporate Training Center

Really excellent professional training centre.
Excellent teachers leading very good classes on the best equipment.
I have taken all of their Teacher training programs and have been very impressed with the organization and thoroughness. The programs are VERY expensive is the only downside.

Stott Pilates is a fantastic studio space, with modernized yet traditional Pilates equipment.
Staff and instructors are thoroughly knowledgeable and help you meet your goals. They’re attentive and encouraging and though it says ‘group’ classes they’re smallish sizes so instructors can keep a close eye on you.
Location is extraordinarily convenient, sitting just above the Eglinton subway station.

I used to take one-​on-​one sessions at the Stott studio, until I discovered that a couple of instructors recommended to me were not as qualified as I was led to believe. It was also disappointing that my instructor (s) would socialize with each other during my paid private sessions. I did not like it that I was being charged full fees for non full-​fledged instructors and did not have their full attention.
The Pilates, although refreshing to learn these new and fancy exercises, was not that effective for me. I have discontinued and been more successful with help from sports experts and developing core strength with other forms of exercises.
My understanding is that Stott consults with sports professionals, that it seems prudent to simply seek advice directly from sports specialists. It is also important to note that pilates instructors are certified by the same facility that trains them – It is not an independent certification.

Very affordable reformer classes right by my apartment + workplace, which makes it very convenient and very acessible.
Reformer classes have 8 people, which still provides enough attention for a good workout for each client.
At $ 15/​class (or $ 12.50 if you buy a pack of 10), it’s easy and affordable to stay in shape as opposed to SF…$ 35/​class!
