Had a great experience here getting a Pravana smoothing keratin treatment. I found the salon and treatment through Groupon and had a voucher, which process was very easy to redeem. The lovely stylist who performed the process on me, I believe his name was Victor, was extremely technically knowledgeable about technical aspects of hair color and processes – more so than anyone else in the salon business I’ve seen and really explained the chemical causes behind certain experiences I’d had with hair dye in the past. I would definitely go to him to do my color in the future. The Pravana treatment, salon experience aside, is GREAT, and really smoothed my curly hair, allowing me to blow dry it straight in 3 minutes, while leaving it soft and smooth. Victor also gave me a great haircut I was very happy with. They told me the kinds of product I had to use to maintain the treatment, but did NOT pressure me to buy it there, which I *really* hate. Wish there was a bit more ventilation or at least fans blowing the fumes away as they dry your hair in the Pravana process(even if it is 100% safe), but otherwise, I will definitely come back here and definitely recommend. I consider this a lucky find from Groupon!

I don’t recommend this salon for many reasons. Last year I bought two $ 99 keratin deals for Studio 861 from Dealticker, and used one. When I went to use the second voucher recently, the salon had marked both as already used. Oh, and both were marked as used *on the same day*, as if I had two keratin treatments back to back. The owner insisted that I must have given it to someone else, and was very rude to me as if I were trying to get a free treatment. These deals are all numbered and, since the salon uses an appointment book, are completely traceable to who uses which voucher number. On both occasions that I have been there, the hairdressing staff have been unprofessional in their behaviour and demeanour, and undertrained. I have long curly hair and the girl tried to comb it out wet without any smoothing product, using a narrow steel barber’s comb — and tugging and tearing from the top down. When I told her how to comb it out starting from the bottom, she did not even answer me, and the owner rudely cut me off, telling me that did not make any difference. Snide and derogatory comments are made about the patrons, with smirking looks. The stylists talk only to each other. Nobody chatted with me or the other patrons in the convivial atmosphere that most salons have. The salon looks pretty, but it is *not* a relaxing atmosphere. No tea is offered, even when you are there for some hours. Even a request for something to drink on a scorching hot day while I was under a dryer was met with a resentful look and I was given a small styrofoam cup of tap water. No refill of water was offered. Every opportunity to gouge money from patrons by pressuring them to buy a special shampoo and conditioner for $ 30 each otherwise the treatment won’t last. Well, they are just regular products with SLS etc. Claiming that you need to get their $ 55 hair cut before they can do the straightening treatment… Yes, I had to pay that for a straight bottom trim. Voucher customers are treated sullenly, compared to ‘paying customers’. Oh, and they told me that what they use is not in fact keratin. I won’t be going back. Dealticker refunded my second voucher because of the unpleasant experience I had.

It’s a shame you can’t give zero stars because this«salon» doesn’t deserve any. Bought a dealfind deal for haircut, partial highlights, deep conditioning treatment, and a blow-dry. Seriously wishing I hadn’t. The partial highlights were 7 foils, so I said no thank you to that. I asked for a trim, with a little bit of layers. My hair is now disastrous. I’m not sure where this so-called stylist did his training but I’m pretty sure I could give myself a better hair cut. My trim took off at least 2 inches, and the layering has left me with a bit of a Farrah Fawcett look. I should mention I came in with medium length straight blonde hair. Nothing fancy. When I asked the stylist why he did that, he blew me off and said he was on a phone call. He rolled his eyes when I told him I wasn’t happy and said okay, whatever whatever that’s a trim. The owner just sat back and allowed his behaviour. Customer service = appalling. Even worse, my haircut which I will now have to pay extensive amounts of money to fix. Lesson learned, if it’s a bargain, you’re going to get what you pay for.

I made an appt at this salon for July 14, 2012. I Showed up & the male hairstylist had an attitude & seemed like he was having a bad day. He didn’t introduce himself to me at all-he then began combing out my hair & proceeded to rip out my earring-ouch! He didn’t even apologize once I told him what happened. He rolled his eyes… I got up & walked out! The place was not busy for a Saturday & now I see why. Very unprofessional! I would never recommend this salon for a doggie shampoo!
