Thank god that this is our local. Great beer, excellent food, friendly staff. It’s a true neighbourhood pub. I’ll be back very soon.

Not sure why this place is always listed on Bar lists. I suspect because it’s the only bar on the area with a patio. Came here w the hubby last weekend and it wasn’t good. The menu has maybe 12 offerings including a charcuterie board, perogies(house specialty), and steamed broccoli poutine(this just sounds gross). We ordered the perogies because if this is the dish they are known for, it’ll give us a good idea of how they can execute the rest of the menu. The perogies($ 11) for 4 perogies that were burned on one side while barely cooked on the other side, and so minimal stuffing that they were deflated and flat. It was clear the cook put them in the pan and forget about them. They were served with iceberg lettuce and sliced tomatoes which was confusing. Two perogies in we FIND A HAIR. We told the waitress and she offered to bring us another plate, which we politely declined. No thanks. I don’t want to eat anything coming out of that kitchen. She could have comped our beers as a gesture but didn’t. I wasn’t impressed with the whole experience. They served a few craft beers, and have a back patio. The patio is small and cramped with broken tables. The inside is dark and always empty when we walk by. We live in the area and go out often. We were disappointed w this one since it’s close by. Won’t return or recommend to others.

Every time I come here there is a loveable tattooed giraffe working at the bar. He has amazing cocktail knowledge and always makes us smile. The owners are adorable and also make delicious signature drinks.

Went here with my sister and her boyfriend for some drinks. We were hungry and ordered a few appetizers to share. Drinks were fine(my mix drink was on the VERY small side), but the food was really good. The perogies and«chips» and dip were excellent. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice, for such a small place. Bathrooms were also nice, clean, etc. Only problem is that some of the tables are SO small, it’s really hard to use them. We were at a very small one and even though we fit around it alright, a guy walking by knocked a beer over with his coat and it dumped all down me. I mean ALL over me. It’s not the bar’s fault the guy knocked the glass, but if the table was a bit bigger we would have had more room to put the glass further in, so it wouldn’t have gotten knocked in the first place. The fact is, if you’re going to serve food people need a place to put it. A few slightly bigger tables would go a long way.

Cozy, very well thought-out space with fantastic cocktails, a sweet back patio and friendly, accommodating owners. I only wished I lived closer…
