I love banh mi… like LOVE them and this place does not disappoint. I’ve only tried the chicken so far but it’s great(I’ve had several). Roses is around the corner and there is another Tung on Gerrard, those are also good but have a bit more of a mystery meat feel to them. Here the chicken is actually nice big chunks of chicken and everything tastes fresh. All for $ 3. This is my favourite place outside Banh Mi Boys and they are a 1⁄3 of the price. Absolutely worth trying.

$ 2.50 sandwiches that were incredibly delicious. Value for money was insane! Will swing back next time I am east and get a few more!

Cheap delicious food. Bahn Mi is spot on. When I eat these I dance around with the sandwich in my hand.

Delicious delicious delicious, and soooooooo cheap! Their brioche style buns are great, I love their pâté chaud, their brioche hot dogs, their dinner buns, their pork buns, their sandwiches are great, cheap and have a good size, I don’t know what’s not to like about this place and this is one of my regular weekly stops where I can buy lunch and dinner for 6 bucks! I still have yet to try their desserts and other baked goods but so far it’s already so satisfying.

I just stopped in for a Vietnamese sandwich(chicken) and it was fantastic. It was relatively large(9″) and delicious. I also had a steamed chicken bun, which was average, and a custard bun, which was great. I will DEFINITELY be going back for the chicken sandwich and custard bun… My taste buds are still tingling.

Love this bakery! Best Chinese bakery of the 3 in the area. Their Vietnamese chicken sandwiches are really good as is the«Special» which is an assortment of the different meats. The vegetarian tofu one is also very good. As another poster has mentioned, the egg tarts are amazing. They’re flaky and wonderfully eggy. Since they turn over so quickly they’re often warm — which is the best way to have them. The birthday cakes and rolled cakes are good too. My favourite is the fruit cake — not the«Christmas cake», but a great sponge cake with fruit in the cream layer in between.

These guys have the best egg tarts in East Chinatown. However, their BBQ pork/beef/chicken buns are merely average. There are so many Chinese bakeries in this area that it’s difficult to stand out, but I’m sure that none of them make a better egg tart than this place. I don’t eat their sandwiches so I can’t comment on those.

The cafeteria tray and tongs thing about all the Chinese bakeries on Gerrard/Broadview scare me a bit… but damn are the pork buns delicious! The good: — some of the bins aren’t labeled so when you bit into your bun and get something you actually want you really feel like a winner! The bad: — some of the bins aren’t labeled so when you bit into your bun and get something you don’t want you sometimes gag. Would I come back here? Hell yes, it’s like spinning the wheel on the price is right. Sometimes you win big and get BBQ pork!
