I have tried twice to go to Wandas pie in the sky and every time they have been closed. On both occasions I checked their website and it said that they would be open. Also here on Unilocal I checked and it they said they would be open. And yet no pie.

Came here most Thursdays last semester with my friend to get some quiche and a slice of pie. Everything is so good! Great place for a fresh, tasty bite between classes or for hangouts. Some of the highlights: Pies: banana cream, key lime, strawberry, rhubarb, chocolate pecan, pecan Mains: all of the quiches, mac and cheese, mexican style(enchilada?) lasagna with guac and sour cream on top During the holiday party season, I dropped by to grab a pie whenever I was heading to an event and they were always a hit. Also, slightly ashamed to admit it, but I have come here on two Pi days(March 14) and they always have pi day pies(inexplicably some are square pies with pi written in pastry).

Bought a slice of Coconut cream pie. Creamy, lots of coconut and not too sweet. My first time eating coconut cream pie so I don’t have another one to compare it to. It’s what I expected it to taste like. Suggest sharing it with someone as the portion is big and may be too heavy if you eat it by yourself.

Wanda’s Pie in The Sky is very popular. The shop is always crowded and it is hard to get attention from their staff. I am not interested in eating there because there are too many people. I took out banana cream pie and it was excellent. There are not so many bakeries who sell excellent pies by a piece. I will go back there when I want to enjoy a piece of pie for myself.

Wanda’s is like dating your crush for a few weeks, but suddenly realize the person is not as you expected. If you have wet dreams about pies like Jim Levenstein, you might need to find true love elsewhere.

It’s probably not fair to judge a business on a single visit. On a single piece of pie even. But Wanda’s was a disappointment through and through. I can’t recommend it. And if you look, I’m not an idle complainer. First, what my wife generously described as «abrupt» service, even though the place was largely empty. She’s pretty forgiving. So if even she comments about it, then you know that your service is lackluster. But whatever, everyone has a bad day. What was really disappointing was the pie itself. We ordered the banana cream pie. I suggest you order something else. The crust was bland and largely flavorless. So to the cream filling part of the pie. It had an ok texture, but also was fairly bland. It certainly didn’t have much banana flavor to it. Nor did the banana slices themselves. They stood out primarily for their mealy and watery texture. There are probably some really good pies here. The one we ordered is not one of them.

Never had a terrible piece of pie here. The service levels waver but the taste doesn’t. I’ve tried the apple, key lime, cherry and chocolate banana cream. My favourite is their Apple. It never disappoints. The coffees are also decent if you want to hang out and people watch on their patio.

Really more like a 3.5 I’ve been going to Wanda’s since they were in Yorkville(I lived right across). Some of their desserts are just fantastic — their sour cherry pie? Amazing. But then other desserts? Their chocolate(more like a mousse, not a pudding) — eh. Their peach pie? Extremely disappointing(it’s peach season!)

Rats! This place is still around? 4 out of 5 Kensington rodents agree that their brownies rule, though.

Coconut Cream Pie… and Lemon Meringue Pie. Need I say more? It’s pricey, but it’s delicious, freshly baked pie. I have a quarterly routine… I go get my haircut, and wander through Kensington Market, sometimes buying some groceries, then I pick up lunch at one of the many delicious restaurant and eateries, and I stop in and pick up a pie… or 2. It’s a great treat to have. And it’s delicious.

Tucked away in the heart of Kensington market lays Wanda’s Pie in the Sky. I always have a craving for sweets so how can one say no to dessert?! I walk in n the first thing that caught my eyes were the wonderful selections of pie. From the classic apple crumble pie to rhubarb pie in one display and in the other display they had a variety of meal options. This hipster joint was booming on a nice Thursday evening and very popular. I purchased a 6 inch apple crumble pie to share with my friend, got it heated up and ate it outside on their patio. The pie crust was absolutely delicious and the filling was sweet. You can never go wrong with a classic. Would i ever come back again?! Oh heck yes.

I love Wanda’s. They have tons of freshly baked items and I haven’t been disappointed once. Most recently, I picked up a little chocolate cake with sprinkles for bae and I on our 5th anniversary. It was SO adorbs and tasted homemade — yum! Side note, I went to a beer event recently and Wanda made some cray peanut butter beer nanaimo bars which were insanely delish, I hope she makes them for the store someday! Thanks Wanda! :D

Wanda’s is a very nice spot. Great atmosphere, very open and friendly. They have a variety of delicious made in house treats and coffee to pair with it –yum! Nice front patio for nice days facing the kensington neighbs. Most of the items are little pricey but they are quite good. Very nice experience overall.

I’ve been going to Wanda’s for a while now and I am done. Something about a store being dedicated to pies makes me love it by default. Alas, I have been disappointed time and time again. Positive: –their peach pie is delicious, no debating –my grandpa liked their sour cherry pie as it was filled to the brim with cherries Negative: –their key lime and other graham crust pies are oily at the bottom. Quite frankly, it is gross. I first thought it was because I had carried a piece around Kensington with me for an hour or two but each and every time I order a piece the crust is oily. Crust is key. –Their pecan pie was tasteless and not smooth, would never try again –Their Banana Cream filling is good but it is not done in a graham crust, but rather a regular pie crust, which feels wrong for a cream pie Also, their customer service experience is missing. No one is really friendly or happy to serve you. Frowns all around. AND — they’re expensive. I’m going to drop a bomb that is going to offend the world, especially KM folk, but I have had pies from Loblaws that were better by that Farmer’s Market brand.

Had phở in Chinatown and I was just looking for some dessert to top off my evening. Stumbled upon Wanda’s and got a slice of their«Coconut Creampie». It was DELICIOUS! Not too sweet, and the crust was just magnificent. Definitely coming back here again.

Great place if you have an instant pie craving and their flavour selection varies from day to to day. Tends to be really hot in the café in the summer AND winter time, be prepared to wait for seats when it gets busy!

Dear Sour Cherry Pie, Please have a day when you are free, and I can eat you until my stomach explodes, like that scene in the movie Se7en. I would be oh so happy. –Mike B P. S. I would not be happy to die like in the movie Se7en. That’s twisted and sick! I just really want free pie.

Warm sweet place. Nice service. They have a lot choices. I ordered chocolate pecan pie. It was basically blend. I can not feel sweet or chocolate or pecan. So disappointed.

Some of the pies look like a hot mess and some of them look quite homemade by teenagers. NEVERTHELESS I got a chocolate peanut butter mousse pie and it was pretty awesome. The chocolate almond cookies were awesome. They were chewy. I also had the rainbow cake. Each color was a different flavor. $ 6.00+ a slice. It was a thin slice but a tall slice. There are a lot of grannies contrasted with young 20-something year old douches in here.
