with child is a very delicate named store. oooh. dont go near that woman. shes with child. be careful she could get hormone overload and decide to rip your head off; shes with child. its such a weird expression. like someone had an affliction. its pretty precious, but at the same time a nod to the miracle of childbirth and carrying a baby to birth, so here here for that. so the store is pretty simply laid out, perhaps to a fault. there hasnt been much effort to make one feel warm and cozy, or playful. things are stocked like you might stock them at a warehouse. it felt kind of dimly lit in there as well. it wasnt busy when i popped in, and though it might be a little hindered by its location(on pape avenue, though just a hop, skip and jump from the danforth), neither the sign nor the window display welcome you with tickling fingers. all that being said, the one woman inside womaning the store seemed eager to help us(thank god for now) browsers find something. prices here didnt seem to be any cheaper than anywhere else. by the same token, there werent an abundance of organic, fairly traded, environmentally friendly products here, which will naturally cost more right now and that might give some context their price points as well. this store is close by; i would go there because of that fact and because i would want a comparison in price and stock availability. i might want to pay a normal price for something and go buy an organic thing somewhere else, so i can still be with(food, sanity and) child.
