Rebel Space Indoor Playground and Cafe

Definitely good to have a place to take the little ones in bad weather. It would be better with a ball pit but it’s okay. Just wonder why all the indoor play parks seem to be staffed by people who spend lots of time on their phones/​laptops and never smile.

The playground structure itself is great for the kids to burn off some energy and it has a little café area at the front for parents.
I don’t agree with an active centre serving sweets (cupcakes, squares, etc) to children. It defeats the purpose of the playground. And, for those of us who don’t buy these items, we now have to listen to our children ask for them. They shouldn’t be front and centre at the counter.
The downside is that even if you go one hour, or less than an hour, before they close, they still charge the full price, which is totally not worth it. We saw parents leave with their children, so essentially, they are turning away business in their last hour. It should be half price or even less.
Also, there should be a system in place to track kids & parents who come in with aggressive children and whom are asked to leave. While we were there we witnessed one child punch another. Staff asked them to leave, didn’t ask for their name, or the child’s name, and they were free to come back the next day. There should be some sort of tracking system for parents with children who don’t play by the rules. Otherwise, what’s the point of having the rules? A computer system should be in place.

We love Rebel Space! Friendly staff, clean and great play equipment. one of our favorite things to do on a rainy day. you do have to watch though as some people can’t read and send their kids up on the equipment with out socks and with food and toys. Also some days do get crazy in their with tons of kids running around. overall we love this place and when I do have a concern the staff deal with the issue professionally and quick.

A picnic was planned, but then, it rained. With a desire to meet up with the picnic crowd, plan B was hatched: a trip to Rebel Space. It is located nowhere near where I live (we live close to downtown and RS is in Upper Tantallon), but any venue that will accomodate my two very energetic children on a grey day is worth the trip.
Great, large play area and literally hours of entertainment. We paid $ 11 dollars for entry — $ 7 for six year old and $ 4 for two year old.
The café had an extensive selection although I would say this is the area of the business that could use some work. The coffee is good. Snacks such a yogurt, juice etc. were available. A number of menu items weren’t availabe (soup, salad, number of sandwiches). I think it’s important to execute well, so I might be inclined to scale back the menu if it’s too much to maintain.
We’ll be back. A great place to keep in mind for a rainy or cold day.

Love this place. Huge indoor playground with lots of comfy seating for parents, plus a café area with drinks and treats! Admission is reasonable and covers all day, unlimited play. Check it out!
