Ordered spicy rice cakes and the seafood tofu soup + bulgogi lunch special. Good value for the food, but the seafood soup was tasteless and the rice cakes had no spice. Bulgogi was tasty though and the waiter is cute.

Made a return visit for dinner this time and the food was still very good for the value! Shared a spicy beef soup with glass noodles and veggies as well as a ddukkopi with my friend and we were stuffed and hardly touched the rice. stirfried rice cakes in spicy sauce is one of my FAVOURITE things and these here were VERY soft but tasted much better than it looked. the texture was borderline mushy and the sauce was not very spicy but after a few pieces, i found myself reaching for more. The soup was also very tasty, although a tad salty, and was quite filled with ingredients. i did notice though that they use ALOT of onions as filler here but thankfully, i love eating onions. Overall, the service was kind, especially for our HUGE group and they were very nice about refilling banchan and responding to our needs!

Good CHEAP Korean food. The décor is pretty plain, but the combo meals are very worth it for four people. Can’t wait to go back

They have a good priced menu, you can get a dinner set for 2 – 3 people for $ 30! It’s filling and decent value for its price. We’ve feed 4 with that before as well and it was still enough if you aren’t big eaters. Service is alright they don’t have allot of servers but the food does come quick and the server is attentive, we got our side sides refilled and tea refilled quickly. It’s worth trying if you are looking for simple Korean meal(they don’t do BBQ there if you’re looking to get the BBQ type style)

If you are craving for affordable Korean food in the Kensington/Renfrew neighbourhood, Andamiro is the place to go. We ordered the LA Galbi beef ribs, Bibimbap, and the Gamjatang for a grand total of $ 30 after tax. All the entrees were excellent. The Galbi was tender and well portioned, the stone bowl rice was one of the better ones we’ve had, and the pork bone in the Gamjatang was fall-off-the-bone tender. something which not many Korean restaurants are able to achieve. The side dishes were the only disappointing part of the visit, potatoes were flavourless and the Kimchi was bland. But given the price and how much we enjoyed the entrees, it’s hard to complain about those side dishes. Would definitely come back.

Excellent value, tasty food and speedy service. Ordered the lunch specials with beef bulgogi, bibimbap and jap che. Pork bone soup and seafood tofu soup also came with the specials, and the tofu soup had a rich, prawny flavour to it. Also ordered the fried wings and seafood pancake, both executed crispy and fresh without being too greasy. Would definitely come back to try more.

Location: on Kingsway between Elliot and Earles(It’s besides one of those Chinese restaurants) Parking: There’s parking at the back(for roughly 5 – 6 spots?) Service: good. The waitress is very nice. Food: We tried their lunch combo. Their seafood tofu soup is very fresh and lots of ingredients. Their jabche is ok. It has a lot of bulgogi in it as well. Their ox bone soup has a lot of ingredients. Their bibimbap is huge. Great value and great taste. Of course, every Korean restaurant would come with a bunch of side dishes. Price: $ 9.95 for a lunch combo. Pick one from ox bone soup/tofu soup/another soup + a bowl of rice and pick one from Jabche/bulgogi/tempura or bibimbap. The portion is good with the price. Ambience: It’s quiet in general as it’s not so busy. They have some nice decorations and a wall of blackboard(I think people can write on it?). I think the owner is also Korean. Overall comment/tips: The quality is quite good for the lunch combo. It’s a great value combo — $ 9.95 for a rice/soup + rice dish + another dish. The taste is fresh and good too for most of the dishes. It’s a hidden gem. Recommended for lunch!

I wouldnt rate this restaurant with the most authentic tasting Korean cuisine. However, its pretty bang for the buck for their dinner special. The tofu soup had a lot of msg in it and the seafood pancake was subpar. Japchae was good. Short ribs werent marinated enough as I would like.

This was the second time visiting the restaurant, and I got to try lunch specials. Such a steal! Had a pork bone soup and bulgogi for $ 10, and my boyfriend had hot stone bibimbap and seafood tofu soup for $ 10 as well. Side dishes were plentiful, and service was very attentive(unlike other Korean places). Food tasted good! If I still lived in this neigbourhood, I would come back here regularly. Normally you sacrifice quality for the price but not here. Strongly recommend for the price and the quality of food. It’s definitely bang for the buck.

It’s colse to my area, hard to find street parking sometimes… the lunch special has high cp value… so far I like the place. However i would prefer my seafood pancake more crispier. Porkbone soup is great.

Probably the worst Korean food I’ve had. We ordered this dish called Kkanpoongki(not sure if that’s what it was called on the menu) and it was pretty questionable. Literally just deep fried meat with random drizzles of sauce on it??? I love this dish and I order it all the time and I’ve never had it a) taste like this and b) look like this before. I also had some stew of some sort and all I remember it being was oily and salty. Maybe I came on a super off day? The other reviews seem pretty good so I don’t know. Not too keen on going it a second chance. Also the servers + kitchen staff were drinking and having a little party while people were dining in. Like what???

The price is very decent there. We tried the dinner special for only $ 30 and is recommended for 2 – 3 people. However, the food is ok. Not very special in any way.

By far better than the ones dt! Their lunch combo is a sweet deal for $ 9.95…soooo . Bf had the hot stone bowl with seafood tofu soup and I had the bulkogi with pork back bone soup. You can tell that they use little to no msg as their food isn’t too salty. The seafood tofu soup was very flavourful and the pork back home soup had so much meat I had to share with my bf(the potato to meat ratio was to my liking ie/less potatoes and more meat!). The bulkogi wasn’t salty or sweet, it was just right with the sweetness from the onions cooking under the meat. Too bad this place isn’t dt! Would def go back to try their other dishes!!!

Came here for dinner tonight with the family. The place was busy. Luckily we made reservations for 11 people. The food today was ok. Last time we came here on a weekday and service was great. There is only two waitress on and they were busy. Had to ask for banchan three or four times, and they never refill. Luckily we had lots of food to keep us busy. Would go here again, but on a non weekend.

Good-sized restaurant, some parking in the back as well as street parking in front. The food was decent; I enjoyed their soups and seafood japchae. I also ordered sweet and sour korean-style chicken but I didn’t really like it. There wasn’t anything wrong with it persay; the batter was actually done well but sweet and sour isn’t to my taste. My bigger complaint is the side dishes that come with your food. The kim chi was disappointing and tasted like it had barely been pickled. I think it would taste better if they buy their kim chi instead of making it themselves… The sweet potatoes were overly sweet and didn’t have the same texture that a lot of other korean restaurants do. Honestly I just recommend all the more entrée/savoury dishes like the soups and noodles. For these dishes, it’s a good local place to visit. Service was very fast and friendly.

New resto in town… i love korean foods that i make sure ill visit any new korean restaurant near my place. Neat and new place im not really sure if they are replacing another restaurant on the same site. not so big but since its new its pretty busy place. Minimal décor mmmmm korean inspired, washroom clean, Theres tV and wifi free. Parking is by the street back and at the rear, its hard to notice the restaurant because it has a small name and its written in a way that you cant really notice it… looks like a korean character but its english letters… Noise level is moderate but when we came in it becomes morethan that hahahha me and my two bff were kinda loud… They accept cash, credit and debit, i can say that this is good for group, family and kids… a place where you can find good deal and good korean foods… they have combo for lunch for lessthan $ 10 and a dinner for $ 30 which i gezz good for 5 adults. and refillable side dishes, you dont need to ask for more they are a bit generous. we had the prawn tempura, the sea food pancake and we ordered the stone cooked beef then sea foods. close to bibimbap. we all enjoyed our lunch… affordable good korean restaurant… service is not bad…2 guys working that day and they are both friendly… i love this place for sure if i have cravings for some korean dishes ill visit the place again…

Cheap and cheerful $ 10 lunch combos easily one adult + one munchkin. Usual Korean suspects — tofu soup, stone bowl bibambap, etc.

Quite quiet on Thursday evening. Ordered the Dinner Special for $ 30 which stated it was four dishes with rice, for 2 – 3 people(but I think it could be for 4 people!) It was very filling and the portions were very worth the price. Definitely recommend it! The food came quickly and also came with four small side dishes, which was tasty. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back!

Price — around 8.99 each soup or stone bowl Portion — average(standard soup size comes with rice) Selection — standard(soups, stone bowls, seafood pancake, bbq, fried rice, combos) Service — inexperience but trying really hard Recommend — stone bowls(the sauces in a bamboo bucket is unique) Do not recommend — rice cake sausage soup(very salty) Timeliness — took 20 min for food to come with 3 tables seated. Ambiance — new, bright and spacious. No music. Tip — parking at rear, take credit card. Overall — Very average.

I was disappointed to find that one of my regular Hong Kong style cafes had closed down. In its place was Anda Miro. We decided to give it a try since I had invested so much time getting a parking spot. We ordered from their Lunch Special menu. I had the Haemul Sundubu(soft tofu stew with assorted seafood and vegetables) and Beef Bulgogi(marinated slices of tender beef). The stew actually had pieces of squid, fish and an entire prawn! The quantity of beef was small, but well seasoned and sweet. My wife ordered the Seol Leong Tang(ox bone soup) and Jabche(sauteed sweet potato noodle with beef bulgogi). The soup actually contained 5 – 6 thin slices of beef and was quite a nice way to wake up the palate. The Jabche, to my surprise, contained as much beef as the Beef Bulgogi I ordered separately. There was an ample amount of potato noodle as well. Several side dishes of salad, kimchi and glazed potato accompanied our dishes and each entrée was served with a small bowl of rice and tea. The takeaway lesson: Order the Jabche and Haemul Sundubu next time for the best bang for your buck. Overall, we spent about $ 25 for two entrees, tax and tip. While I am still disappointed that the previous restaurant closed down, I am glad a suitable replacement has taken its place. We will be back in the future.

Among the few Korean restaurants in Burnaby and Vancouver, AMKB is the newest in the group — it just opened couple days, on Christmas Day. My first visit for dinner is very positive, the set up is neat and tidy, service is attentive, food taste very good and original, l like the presentation… Their Korean style DF chicken wings are must try :)* Overall I am very impressed with this little restaurant, they provide good Korean cuisine with fair & reasonable prices. I would definitely return for their other choices… The only reason I don’t rate 5 is the décor/ambience is kinda bland… No music, no TV! Maybe I am too picky?
