THEYHADTWICETHESELECTIONANDNOTHINGWASMORETHAN $ 50! Don’t even bother going to Swimco! The staff here are friendlier, and I can actually buy a 2 piece without breaking the bank! They have a huge sale going on right now. I got bathing suit bottoms for $ 7!!!

This place would be awesome if I had an amazing body. I don’t and the lighting in the change area is awful so it really isn’t fun to try stuff on there. You can always find great deals on swimsuits — like fun bikinis for $ 14! They have great cover up stuff too and cute dresses. They do have a lot of styles and cuts, Sometimes the patterns or frills are a bit much for my taste. I actually found a nice one-piece today with a real vintage look to it for only $ 70. I don’t desperately need a new suit so I refrained but maybe after I do boot camp in June I’ll deserve to treat myself.

I knew they could do it! I came back to exchange a black skirt that I bought a few weeks ago for a white one, since colour coordinating on the beach is very important. But then I ended up trying on more bikinis… Let’s face it, no girl out there likes shopping for a bathing suit. You end up trying on about 20 different top and bottom combos until you find the right one. It takes a while,(which is why I left the BF at home.) So I was super stoked when I came in this time and the service was so good. The short lady that greeted me when I first came in, I couldn’t even see over the racks in the store! So little! She made lots of suggestions on styles and cuts and would grab a different style in every colour of the rainbow for me, until I narrowed it down to pink or teal, even though all I wanted was a simple boring black one. I ended up with teal since I felt that it brought out the colours in my tattoos more… cuz I’m sure that’s what everyone will be looking at when I am in my bikini… She did the skirt exchange with no questions, and I got $ 10 off my new teal bikini since there was a coupon on the bottom of my old receipt. Total dollars spent = $ 75, but I bet I won’t need another bathing suit for another ten years. Two weeks till holidays… not that I am counting.

I recently visited several stores in Kits looking for end-of-season bikini deals. This store was the last and by far the best. At Splash on 4th Avenue, three employees greeted me indifferently then chatted amongst themselves about dogs. Next up was Swimco; where the young woman was very personable and helpful; it’s just that everything on sale was still over $ 60. My last stop was La Vie En Rose Aqua and there I found a decent selection of very sale-priced swimsuits, sold as separates for convenience. $ 17 for a top and $ 20 for a bottom is more like it and exactly the price point one should expect at the end of the season. There was an older woman working there(50s?) and a younger 20ish woman who I think was the manager who helped me; she was terrific. I did not feel rushed or that she was just telling me something looked good so that I would buy it. I made a point of telling her how much I enjoyed being there and that the prices were so much better than the other stores. I would recommend this location in particular to anyone looking for a swimsuit; great staff and reasonable prices.

This is by far the best location — I went to the same store in metrotown and the selection was so slim — they had three ugly swimsuits on sale and that was it! This location however is huge for a swimsuit place and half their store is on sale right now. I’m going to Mexico next week and looked everywhere to find a suit(SwimCo, department stores, EVERYWHERE in Metrotown) and finally found one here. The sales staff is super nice and patient — I pretty much tried out all the swimsuits they had on sale and I didn’t feel rushed or pressured. The swimsuit I ended up buying wasn’t supposed to be on sale but it was under the discount section so she gave me the discount anyway! I would definitely recommend checking it out. The location is bad for parking(all paid metered parking) but if you go down to Vine and 3rd, there’s usually a bunch of free parking there and it’s just a short walk to the suit store. Get a bit of exercise before trying on bathing suits… not a bad thing!

Being pregnant, I had to find a decent suit to work with my belly and this store came through for me! Reasonable prices, lots of different style tops and bottoms in sizes XS-XL. Quality isn’t top notch, but what can you expect when the prices are so good. They also carry a vast selection of cover-ups, shorts, dresses, hats & beach bags. Would definitely shop there again when you don’t feel like dropping a lot of dough for a bikini/bathing suit.
