Just moved in to the building beside here and in the midst of all the unpacking I decided to grab a quick take out for lunch. I’ve been reading good things about this place and have been meaning to check it out so this was perfect. I ordered for my boyfriend and I to share, the kale gomae, chopped scallop roll, negitoro roll and an aqua roll. The total bill came to just over $ 18, which really isn’t bad for healthy sushi. We both loved it. The brown rice didn’t take away from the taste and I didn’t notice the difference between this and regular white rice which is awesome, and the ingredients tasted fresh. I love how they only use wild sockeye salmon — it worked so well with the green bean, avocado and mango in the aqua roll. The star was the kale gomae. Like all the reviews said, it was delicious. The boyfriend commented that it’s one of the best he’s ever had. I actually love kale and now this is officially my new favourite over spinach in gomae. I can foresee myself coming here probably way too often now that it takes only 30 seconds to walk here… Not that it’s a bad thing at all!

I found this place by accident on the way to another destination. Truthfully I got lost. The best treasures are the things that I find when I get lost. This is a sushi and cold press juice bar. It doesn’t have the traditional ambiance of other sushi places but a clean crisp interior with green and white shades. Very healthy place that can even make low card sushi and sushi made with brown rice. Prices are reasonable.

Walked by this place many times and thought it was just a juice bar but went in and realized they served sushi too! I love that they serve wild salmon sashimi and brown rice. The wild sashimi cone was so yummy. Will be back for sushi! Great for a quick meal or snack.

Came here for #tastingplatesyvr. Got the wild salmon cone and kale go-mae. Fresh! Customer service is excellent. Clean and swanky looking décor is a big plus too. Will be back for more

This is by far the most fresh and healthiest sushi place ever! I love it here and its right by my place. The salmon is delicious, the brown rice tastes amazing(even though i hate brown rice) !

Got their rolls and sashimi bowls. Half of the time the sushi rice is warm. Warm rice paired with cold fish just doesn’t work. Please wait for the rice to cool. Portions are quite small for the price, good for lighter type of lunch.

Winners: Aqua sashimi salad(with tuna) and the Quench juice Bought a Groupon $ 20 for $ 40 worth of food so I was able to try quite a few different items on the menu ;) Aqua sashimi salad(with tuna) 5⁄5 Aqua roll(wild salmon, avocado, mango, green bean) 3.5÷5 Red roof roll(scallop, spicy tuna, unagi dressing) 4⁄5 Seaweed salad 5⁄5 Kale slaw 2⁄5 Miso soup 3⁄5 Quench juice(pineapple, cucumber, pear, lime, coconut water) 5⁄5 Detox juice(apple, kale, ginger, cucumber, lemon) 1⁄5(too«green» for my taste) All the ingredients were quite fresh, especially the tuna.

My work recently moved to Olympic Village and because of this I have had the chance to explore the restaurants available in the area more. It’s developed a lot in the past few years and if you haven’t been by, you’re missing out. Seriously, the only place I used to come visit was Marios Gelati and now there are sit down restaurants, bars, small indepdent restaurants and even several coffee shops. AQUA Sushi + Juice Bar offers delivery, takeout and dine in sushi and juice. Though be warned, their dine in option is more cafeteria/self serve style than a sit down restaurant. If you want a sit down restaurant, you’ll want to walk two block to Manna Sushi. As I mentioned, AQUA offers fresh sushi and juice, which when you first think about it, is kind of weird and ew. Because raw fish and juice? But it actually works in this case because AQUA really focuses on quality ingredients and providing healthy alternatives to their customers. You won’t see a deep fried California roll at this place. I DO wish they had hot options. It’s so chilly right now, I’d kill for ramen noodles or a warm rice bowl. The food here is probably more pricey than a standard take out sushi place. But I have never been one to frequent super cheap sushi restaurants. Because, hello… raw fish? You really want to take a chance on that? If you are, clearly you have not experienced the joys of food poisoning. Anyways… This particular visit I ordered wild salmon sashimi(5 pieces), a miso soup and a low carb phili roll(4 pieces) with their cucumber wrap. With tax it was $ 20.00. You are probably saying«WOOOAAAH» that’s pricey. It is, but when it comes to healthy eats, I have found it is never cheap(especially if it’s a low-carb option). Their regular rolls(which are all made with brown rice) are actually pretty reasonable, considering most places charge you extra for brown rice. Rolls run for about $ 9 — $ 3.50. I am not the biggest juicing fan, but if you are, juices are $ 7 for a large and $ 6 for a small. They always seem to be updating their menu as well, which I really love. The cucumber wrap option is quite new and recently, they’ve also added Quinoa Sushi Cones to their menu, which will run you anywhere from $ 3.25 to $ 3.75 per cone.

I recently started a new job in the Olympic Village area and came across this hip little sushi place on lunch break one day. I’ve been there a few times now, and it has been delicious and fresh every time. The salmon and avocado roll is my favourite, and the Miso soup is perfect. I have yet to try the juice, as it’s pretty pricey. The sushi is more reasonably priced, because you get what you pay for.

Aqua Sushi is a fairly new place in Olympic Village. I think it just opened this year. I was reluctant to try it because it’s all organic and it seemed like one of those super healthy places that don’t really taste good. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried their sushi because it was actually good. Everything is brown rice and you can even get low carb sushi which has no rice… I don’t know how that works though(lol). Everything was fresh and I was pretty satisfied with the sushi here. I’ll probably go back again to try their juice and their other healthy options.

Really disappointing. Couldn’t eat the sushi. The sashimi was good though. Their fresh juice was also terrible. I have a juicer at home and should have waited till I got home. Expensive — $ 30 for a roll, sashimi and a juice?! No wonder there’s never anyone inside when I walk by. The staff are nice at least. I won’t be back.

On a sunny Friday afternoon I was riding my bike around Olympic Village it was around 2 pm when we decided to grab a bit of lunch. We ended up at Aqua Sushi + Juice Bar. Pretty good lunch choice! The service was quick yet friendly. The food was fresh and delish! I had a couple of rolls, the organic miso soup and the Rejuvenate drink. I was a bit worried when the guy at the counter said that all their sushi was made with brown rice(healthier alternative he announced). Turns out I didn’t need to worry! It was awesome! Also, I liked the Rejuvenate Juice. It has a bit of ginger in it to give you that extra kick! I’m going to have to try put a bit of ginger in my home made juices! Overall, I like this tiny place. It’s a healthy fast food alternative in the Olympic Village area!

There’s more to vegetarian sushi than just avocados and cucumbers. — Veggie roll(with no rice!) was surprisingly delicious! I don’t remember exactly what was in there, but the combination worked really well. — Negitoro roll, good. — Kale gomae, really good!(Might try and replicate this at home.) — $ 6 Juice, fresh and delicious! I ordered the«Nourish», solid choice. — Super friendly service! — Decent prices. Brown rice! Fresh ingredients! Healthy! I’m a fan. Will definitely be back. PS. Space is small(go for take out). Only a few spots by the window bar area to eat inside. But they might be putting in a table or two.

Overpriced. Poor selection. Mediocre fish. Kind of gross actually. It’s hard to suck at sushi in Vancouver, buy Aqua succeeds at failing.

A must try in Vancouver’s Olympic Village! Fresh pressed juices, brown rice sushi and wild salmon! Don’t forget to try the low carb diet vegetable sushi with no rice! Excellent and friendly service. Very clean inside with a contemporary décor that’s very inviting. Sit here with your laptop and work away with the complimentary Wi-Fi Internet!

Great place for a quick healthy lunch alternative. I work in the area and love the AQUA, sushi + juice bar because its a grab-and-go healthy restaurant option. Fresh sushi — carb free or brown rice and fresh juice are made-to-order with the freshest ingredients. My favorite juices so far are the Rejuvenate for colder days and Quench for a hot sunny day.

I was extremely excited for this place to open since I live near by and am a huge sushi fan. I was not satisfied with the food though. They do not have a variety of things on their menu and the sushi I ordered tasted just like any other sushi from an OK sushi place, except they charge much more money for it here because it is «healthy.» I personally do not find the point in having a «low-carb» sushi menu… for something like spaghetti — sure I would understand, but I don’t see any point in having it for sushi. The entire idea of having juice and sushi together is a great idea, but they do not have enough food items or drinks on their menu. Also they should improve the quality. A good place for people who are dieting to go to… for someone who is looking for a quick/good sushi place to go to, this is not the place for you.

Wonderful and welcomed addition to the neighborhood! Fresh Fresh Fresh… and healthy. I’m having the no carb veggie roll and miso as I write this. This is going to be my almost daily fix for sure.
