WORSEEXPERIENCEEVER! I can’t even rate it with NO star. I inquired about getting some custom signature stamp done via email. There were some emails going back and forth getting the sizes right with this guy name Leo Verlaan. I’ve never done any custom stamps before and was hoping they could help me. I provided the size it says on website ¾″ top to bottom and asked him to confirm it. He comes back and says, and i quote«Hi we can ‘size’ the signature to whatever size you wish. Please simply tell us the size you wish.» So I used the same ¼ inch measurements and told him what I wanted for top to bottom size — 2.5/4″ He calls me and start telling me that they don’t have that size and saying they have 60 measurements and they don’t have that size. «I don’t know what 2.5÷4» is. Do you know how the inches system works. it comes in 1/8…blah blah”… nonstop… just going off!!! Then i said, «okay…then… i take my measurement of 2.5÷4 and multiple by 2 to make it into eighth!». «The measurement will be 5/8″ for top to bottom». His rudeness did not stop there. He kept going off. It’s like him calling me stupid. Then he asked me who i work for and I replied«UBC». And his response was«I work for BC Stamp Works». The point of the question is??? — in my head thinking… !@#$%^*& whhhatttt??? What was ridiculous was he said you should know how it works since you work for UBC. I tried to calm him down by saying«thank you for your patience of explaining to me how it works because we’ve never ordered custom stamps before». That didn’t stop him. In my head, i’m thinking he’s having a bad day so I’ll stay professional but he’s EXTREMELYRUDE and disrespectful! Not just dissing me but he dissed UBC as well. After giving him the 5/8″ measurements, i asked for approx left to right measurement… his answer: I don’t know. I’m just the coordinator. The technicians do it… etc etc… the measurement will change the price of the stamp, if you give me this… then this happens and if you give me that… this changes this price that price… etc etc my reply: so you can’t give me approx measurement AFTER me giving you the appropriate size you want? his answer: no… but i can process your order now. You can give me your credit card or you can forget about it my reply: no it’s okay. good bye. so …pretty much his rudeness killed it. I really wish i had recorded the conversation. Then you’ll have a sense of how I felt. This was the most uncomfortable, raging, speechless, unthinkable, disrespected call I’ve ever made in my entire life. I googled him — Leo Verlann and apparently he’s the manager of the company. I’m sure he’s not like that to everyone. I can’t help but think he’s racist and or have smt against UBC. I’m not giving my boss’s money to you since you treated me like shit. Unbelievable! Unforgiving!!!

Solid 3.5 stars. A neat setup, when you walk in on the first level, you see all of their products. Then you walk down to get to customer service. Looking for an office stamp with my client’s logo, and not too expensive, about $ 70-$ 90 includes the set up. Amex good.

When I initially walked in I was really excited. BC Stamp works has been in business in BC since 1909. When I entered the shop in the heritage building I was warmly greeted. All of my questions were promptly answered and I was told my stamps would be made on site and take only two days(much faster than the major office supplier close by) It has now been two weeks of me chasing back here and I finally came in to pick them up and they were manufactured incorrectly. In spite of the inconvenience, eventually I got the stamps and the staff was apologetic.
