Best Choice Moving & Storage

Best Choice moved us a week ago and did a fantastic job.
Rado and Samuel of Best Choice showed up a few minutes early and after completing the paperwork and having a quick look around they went straight to work.
Both our former and current apartments are walk-​ups, though the former had a set of stairs to contend with. No matter, they handled them like pros. They carried the mattress and boxspring over the balcony instead of using the stairs without any issues.
In order to speed up the move and cut down on costs my girlfriend and I both took the day off work to help carry what we could. Boxes made up most of our possessions, though we also had a few larger items. We had sealed all the boxes with special tape that labelled where each should go — bedroom, kitchen, etc. This alone saved us a lot of time and questions.
Although a little short on conversation, they were really efficient and completed our move in excellent time. They were careful with our stuff and very low-​maintenance. Nothing was damaged, nor did they walk dirt or grime into our stairs which was appreciated with our move-​out inspection soon to follow. They did not take smoke breaks or rest while they were on the clock.
We were careful to move anything extremely fragile with our own car just in case. I helped them load up the truck but was a little unsure as to how well organized they were in stacking the boxes and other stuff. When all was said and done, everything made it in good shape, so I have no qualms. I’m not an expert in Tetris myself, so I digress! When the truck was fully loaded and our apartment empty we set off in our car with the truck to follow soon after. They made it in good time to our new place and started unloading.
All in all, from the phone booking through to completing the move we were extremely happy with Best Choice.
Note — they add an extra charge for paying with a credit card — which they were completely upfront about. My advice is to pay in cash instead as we did.

Bad experience. Cost more than I expected. They had a hard place to load and a simple as it gets place to unload, yet it took them longer to unload than load which made NO sense. They seemed to understand conversation in English but give them instructions in English or expect that they knew the words Kitchen, Bedroom, or Office in English and they acted like they didn’t understand anything. It was extremely frustrating. I also found it very annoying that they constantly had to light up their cigarettes every time they got outside. They sure charge for credit cards. Always have to wonder about businesses that want big bills paid in cash.

We had a great experience.
Before we even decided which mover to go with, Mr. Li was very patient in replying to all my emails promptly and answered all my questions.
Their rates are great.
The movers Tony, the dispatcher, sent were efficient. In the end, we spent less than what we expected for the move.
Yes, we’ll use them again if we need to move.

Would definitely use this company again. They were professional, efficient and polite. It was an added bonus that the company has great rates. Excellent experience!
