Can only speak from our purchase experience. We ordered 5 pcs. of furniture(in summer 2015). 2 beds, a sofa, dining table and work table, All were completed ahead of schedule. Delivery was done with exceptional care which was very much appreciated. Russell and David are the consumate artists. We had a budget and Russell accomodated our requirements with his suggestions. The resulting designs fit our newly downsized townhome to perfection. The handful of times we were at the downtown store, the discussions were exact and Bombast delivered all items as per agreed specs. They were all perfect with not a mark in sight. Am glad we discovered a local mfg’r that we could support. We’ll be ordering a buffet table and some credenzas after we see what Russell can suggest. This was an investment exercise that was totally pleasant to negotiate and close. On another note, we never did experience any lingering tobacco fumes during our visits. I’m a smoker so it wouldn’t bother me but the wife isn’t, and this was never an issue!!! If your after build quality, and that minimalist retro-modern look, this is one establishment that deserves a serious look.

Priced fair, made right, made locally and impressive internationally. Don’t forget to check the back room. Don’t forget to look at the art collection on the walls. A+

Excited about shopping for sectionals I entered Bombast’s amazing, sleek and modern looking showroom. At first, I was ecstatic, I liked so much of what I was looking and running my hands over. The pieces: stunning. The styles? Well let’s just say that I contemplated blowing my perfect credit score over them. I was there for 5 – 10 minutes. Two people sat at the desk in the back. Neither glanced my way, not even a head nod. I guess I don’t look like the sectional buying type, or perhaps it was because I was with a friend and we were chatting… I would have continued to hang around to ask a question or two, but once I realized that the cigarette smoke was circulating because of the two of them, a wave of disgust engulfed me. Outside of the fact that there’s a bylaw that prohibits smoking inside businesses in Vancouver, the idea that my furniture would reek when I got it home disgusted me enough to shudder and leave.

Bombast Furniture, located in Vancouver’s historic Chinatown district, has a beautiful showroom akin to your dream living room, should minimalist chic and interesting details fit your description of a perfect living space. Modern living room furniture, from luxuriously upholstered couches and chaise lounges, uniquely built desks, tables and chairs, to new-shag carpets(don’t be scared of shag, it can look pretty interesting and this newer version is far less um, dirty looking than its 70’s cousin…), Bombast pieces have a vibe all their own. Lighting options include ornately carved floor lamps and Dutch wall light fixtures. I am especially interested in a simply designed bed frame with attached bedside table and optional upholstered back splash on the headboard. I find the pieces here to be very zen in nature with a spark of modern chic. Prices to match!
