Went there after watching a kids play with my daughter and wife. I ordered the fish tacos, my wife ordered the hot seafood ceasar salad and we got the kids chicken strips for my daughter. The kids strips was 12 bucks and was just 2 strips and fries. Expensive but to be expected. My fish tacos came. 3 tacos each with 1 tortilla and a small piece of fried fish. The tortillas were terrible and flimsy. The tasted like they were 5 days old and purchased from a random supermarket. The fish was fried well but there was no seasoning and it was super bland. Also because they only out 1 tortilla per taco they ripped apart when trying to eat them. My wife’s seafood ceasar salad was the opposite. The seafood was cooked quite well but it felt like they dropped the salt shaker all over it. It was so salty and barely edible. Overall a very disappointing meal and will probably never eat there again.

The mussels dish was very salty. I would not recommend it to anyone. The only redeeming attribute to our lunch experience was Spencer our waiter. I really appreciate him for going out of his way after I told him about my mussels order.

You won’t go wrong ordering calamari, wings and oysters. Mmmm mmm good. Wings had a nice crunchy sweet taste. They need to work a bit on service, but the food and location is what made me rate it 4 stars.

We had a staff dinner there just last FRIDAY and what a disappointment. 1st-when we tried to book, we were told they would have to call us back because so busy that night. Received a call the next day saying they would be able to accomodate us. BUT when we got there that night, it was so empty… go figure?. 2nd-service was so slow, from taking our drink orders to receiving our food. All around slow and bad service. 3rd-when the main meals arrived, they were ALLCOLD and staff was unapologetic about it. 4th– For a bill of over $ 1200.00, we were only given a $ 200.00 discount and no apologies other than ‘OHWELL, IT’S CAUSEYOUARESUCH A BIGGROUP’ WEWILLNOTRETURNTHEREANDWILLNOTRECOMMENDGOINGTHERE!

They had oysters on special and they were great. My fish and chips were as you would expect. Larry’s fish tacos were OK, but not much fish. And they easily accommodated my 4 month old nephew. Service was speedy and good.

This place is definitely a tourist trap. My friend and I were famished and went to the first place right off the dock, which happened to be Bridges. The food is insanely expensive. We are talking $ 22 for a quesadilla and $ 17 for nachos that aren’t even layered. I also want to add that all of the staff are idiots and I hate to say that because it’s mean but it’s also very very true. My dear friend Erika and a Coke that was halfway full and she asked for a glass of water. What happens next? The waitress comes and fills the Coke class with water. I’m not sure if this was on purpose or out of stupidity but either way I was very aggravated and disappointed. Really wish I didn’t spend a fortune on this place for lunch.

The staff seemed generally unhappy to be there, not exactly what I’d call a «friendly atmosphere.» Also, I found the food was waaay too expensive for what you get. Seems to be somewhat of a tourist trap.

Best time to come is summer time when patio is out and have a jug of Sangria on the patio. The food is very very average. But the ambience for the restaurant in the patio on a sunset is a must try. I come here with bro/sis, alone, with my date, with mom. Be careful of the parking: pay attention to the sign. Granville Island tickets people by the minute if your time expire. There is travelzoo coupon for dining upstairs. My friend is a fan of this, but I am not.

Stopped in for drinks and a snack. Cocktails were quick and delicious. We ordered nachos to share. Nachos seemed to house made. Salsa and guacamole equally fresh and delicious. Come for food stay for the view. Shira, our server was attentive and didn’t flinch when we asked to change tables after already placing our order. A great place to take a break from shopping at Granville Island.

I enjoyed the tomato and lobster chowder. Very flavourful tomato broth, and the fish, fresh and generous portions.

The seafood pasta was not great: incredibly bland sauce, kind of rubbery fish, only 2 shrimp on the dish. Appropriate portion size, though very pricey for the quality, and a ridiculous wait time even off peak hours. The staff, however, are excellent, as is the raspberry lemonade. These factors, unfortunately, are not enough to save this place. I will not be coming back, and I do not recommend anyone waste their time here.

Hadn’t been to Bridges in years; 15? 20? Then TravelZoo comes up with a deal that looked too good to resist; $ 218 Value for $ 118, including 2 starters 4 entrees, 2 deserts. What could go wrong? Our service was outstanding. Young amateur waiter working to put himself through school and doing a great job of customer satisfaction. That is where the accolades end. The food was adequate; only had to send one of the three meals back. The«extras» were outrageous. A bottle of Bishops(BC liquor store $ 44); $ 120. Red wine selection by the glass; two BC, one French. California? Nope. Australia; let me check… nope. Chle; let me check… sorry. Italy? Spain? Nope Also ordered 2 beers, 2 white wine, 1 red wine. Turned out that a 9-ounce glass of the red wine you really didn’t want was $ 19. Each 9-ounce glass of white wine was $ 21. Total bill before discount; $ 450. Add 18% tip; $ 80; $ 530. Take $ 100 off for the promotion; $ 430. What??? I thought we had a meal pretty much paid for, and suddenly we are paying more than $ 200 per couple. Fool me once; SHAMEONYOU! Fool me twice; won’t happen!!!

If you request to sit upstairs in the fancy dining room area, this is a great place with to have an intimate dinner for two. Works with other numbers, too. :) Complimentary bread basket: I have respect for restaurants that serve fresh house made bread to carry you over to the first course. This one had some olive oil, sea salt and thyme. Seafood tower: Imagine a spicy chopped scallop roll marrying a smoked salmon/avocado/chipotle aioli combo. Rice was a tad stale, but cool concept. Beef ribs: The sauce was fantastic and not as sweet as your typical barbeque sauce. The ribs were a bit on the dry side, but the side of hush puppies(fried cornbread rounds) made up for it. Paella: I would recommend this if you enjoy seafood! Good quality seafood and sauce. Cheesecake: It’s House made including the marvelous strawberry compote. Texture was divine, and the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and tartness.

Had great time there! The waitress been so friendly and helpful. Love the desert, turtle pie. Paella was tasty but the lamb chop was even better! The only thing disappoints me was the oyster salad. A bit fishy and not that fresh. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Four of us stopped by for a birthday dinner and we all left full and satisfied. The food is a little on the pricier side but the service and the view were exceptional to balance that out. They brought out complimentary cups of a potato and leek soup which was a nice start to warm us up as it was a chilly night. We shared two appetizers and agreed that Tiger Prawn Cakes were the better of the two. For mains, we ordered the paella(x 2), the beef tenderloin and the rack of lamb. I got to try a little of the other mains and all were cooked perfectly. For dessert we sampled the turtle pie and the ice cream sundae. Both were okay and probably not the right call on such a chilly night… would have been nice to have a dessert served warm as an option(as a rice pudding). Plenty of free parking especially coming mid week in November for dinner. I would give the food a 3 star but the view and the excellent service upped my review to a 4. Nicely done Bridges.

Symbolic of Vancouver: Great view, but overpriced, generic and bland. Bridges has been around as far back as I can remember. Whenever we visited Vancouver we would sop by for a bite and a beer, and it never disappointed. I hadn’t been for a couple years, went in for lunch on a weekday and I immediately noticed something had changed. We nearly left wehn we saw the menu, because everything was sooooo expensive: $ 30 for fish & chips, $ 25 for a burger, $ 25 for fettucine. It was raining and we were hungry so we decided to stay. Wife got the seafood fettucine: enormous lump of unappetizing pasta, the seafood hadnt been cooked in the sauce so the flavor was not infused and all the seafood was overcooked and dry, the peas were obviously frozen and the whole thing was completely without flavor. I had a cheeseburger, the bun was stale and untoasted, the meat was overcooked and dry. Again, the hamburger was tasteless and unappetizing. Perhaps go here on a nice day and have a beer on the deck, but avoid the food.

This is a cute spot right on the water. When I went, there was a private party upstairs, so I ate downstairs. They have a beautiful dessert counter and dessert is what I ended up eating! But first, the atmosphere is serene, looking right across the water through floor to ceiling windows, comfortable chairs and sofas, a fireplace, and ambient low lighting. There is a bar area but it doesn’t feel rowdy, even with the TV screens. I’d go for a casual date here for sure. I ate the shrimp appetizer with two slices of bread, pecan gelato pie and a bite of triple chocolate cake. They brought over extra fresh bread when we finished ours and I found the service very friendly and attentive. They were also great helping call us a cab at the end of the night and making sure we were taken care of.

On my first night in Vancouver we were taken here for dinner. Service: The hostesses didn’t give the most welcoming vibe but our waitress was super laidback. She was really cool for letting my friend & I charge our phones throughout dinner since they had both completely died. However, they were also a bit slow on our check after having asked twice. Food & Drinks: Nothing too special. Got the seafood linguini(shrimp, fish, cherry tomatoes, & peas). Unfortunately, it was bland. My friend’s family got the burgers and fish and chips which seemed just a little more appetizing but nothing really eye or tastebud catching. Although, the raspberry and blueberry mojitos were refreshing! They have a special on drinks every night so that was convenient. Missed out on gelato, but if I happen to come across this place again I’ll just go to try the gelato & most likely pass up on the actual meal. Definitely overpriced in my opinion. Atmosphere: PERFECTDATENIGHT. Or company function! The view from this place is gorgeous! We went during sunset & being a first timer in Vancouver, it was breathtaking to be in the heart of the city(Granted, Bridges is located in Granville island). It was such a distracting sight! The colors from sunset & the fresh air from the waters really made this restaurant experience a pleasant one. Had it not been for the patio seating. The restaurant could’ve been any other restaurant. So when you go make sure to sit on the outside patio! Heads up(s): — There’s a top and bottom floor. Apparently there are even different menus for both floors. Strange but makes me curious. I believe the top floor patio seating should be a bit pricier.

Came here with my mom and sister for lunch. Never going back here again. The food was not even good at all. The drinks were ok. The server was awesome, but the quality of the food was very low. I was expecting so much more. Def won’t ever be going back here

The roommate and I were in the area checking out Granville Island Public Market. Of course, I wanted a drink as I was getting thirsty, so we decided to drop by Bridges to grab a cocktail. February 2012 *Bridges creamy seafood chowder I got a grey goose martini, up with olives. Nice and strong. The roommate was driving, so he didn’t want to drink. Instead, he got the seafood chowder. It was a little brothier than expected, but had a good amount of seafood. I do remember the chowder being on the pricier side for a cup and the bar area was a little dingy feeling. Decent place to drop by for a quick drink, but a little pricey.
