Thank god the book store is closing at the end of the month ’cause the customer service is horrible. I wouldn’t be excited either if the store I was working out was closing. The guy at the til seemed disinterested in answering my questions or helping me. They’re having a 70% clearance sale and I found a book that my pregnant girl friend would love, however, just ordered it on Amazon full price… it will be here in 1 week and I don’t have to deal with someone who clearly would rather be reading a book than acknowledge my existence.

Popped in to take a look and walked out with two great finds and had a nice chat with the gentlemen running the shop. Was in there for an hour but it was enjoyable. Too bad all stores can’t be like this anymore.

Went in looking for craft books and found a single jem. Wow when did second hand books go for $ 11.95 (plus tax)?
I must be a second hand store dinosaur (them’s the good ol’ days).
In any case the sales person was kind, quick ad super helpful (and even allowed me access to the obviously a staff-only hole of a bathroom).
Thank you oh so much for a great experience. :)

Small and cute used bookstore. Everything is well organized. There isn’t much selection, but if you’re up for the hunt, you’ll be sure to find some treasures within the walls.

This is another one of Kitsilano’s great bookstore treasures. They have a really nice selection of general fiction as well as many other genres including the arts. It’s the kind of place where you could come and get lost in a good bike while waiting out a rainstorm outside.
