Bailed. I booked an appointment for a plumbing quote at a commercial space. I had to organize a time for the realtor/​landlord to be available as well, as they needed to open the space for us. The appointment was made for 4pm and we were waiting for them to arrive. They call me at 4:03 telling me that they can’t come because their guys were stuck at a different location. Way to give me notice. They knew it was a commercial space and knew the realtor and myself needed to make our way out there. I guess I wasn’t worth their time. Poor planning on their part. Not going to use them again.

I have had needs for Plumbing work as a home owner. I have used these guys many times. I had a Water Main issue about 6 months ago. I got on the phone, and Ed the owner came over personally to give me an evaluation. He followed up several times until my issue was dealt with. Worked with me on pricing, and the job was done far cheaper than expected. Today I needed advise on a dripping outside tap, Again he came over, fixed the problem on the spot, cheap. They get my call anytime I need Plumbing work. Heck Ill call him for my Furnace work to now.

I highly recommend Chris if you need someone to address an appliance problem. I was having ongoing issues with my fridge freezer and he solved the problem in less than 2 hours. He is incredibly professional, prompt and just a really nice guy. Things that I appreciated about his services:
1. He responded to my service request within 24 hours.
2. He was able to give me a specific time for an appt (rather than «btn 1pm and 5pm,» for example).
3. He was respectful of my home.
4. He answered all my questions and explained the issues to me in a way I could understand.
5. Chris was very honest and I had no feeling that I was being ripped off or given inferior service. This was THE MOST IMPORTANT thing for me.
6. Finally, while Chris was here servicing my freezer, I had a water leak from the apartment above. He stopped his work and took photos/​video of the leak for me, as I was out at the time.
Chris went above and beyond what I expected. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending his services. I am very pleased with his work and my functioning fridge freezer!

We’ve used the services of Cambie Plumbing for years, but in the past year or so they seem to have completely dropped the ball. They don’t turn up or they come with the wrong part or they don’t return our phone calls. With reluctance I’ve turned to another plumber.

I called them to conduct an estimate. When they arrived, the plumber said he had trouble finding the place and couldn’t get in touch with me by phone. We identified they had incorrectly taken down my phone number.
After viewing the problem, they advised they would be providing an estimate soon. I expressly requested the estimate in writing.
When I didn’t receive an estimate after 10 days, i emailed them to inquire about my estimate. To date, no response to the email.
I then phoned about my estimate. I was told by the very rude and angry woman answering the phone that she had called me the day after they came by with an estimate She ever said she was «annoyed» with me for not returning her call. I advised that I had never received a call. (It only occurred to me later that she must have called the wrong number they originally had and never bothered to correct). She then blew me off and told me to call next week.

I haven’t hard any services done, therefore, this review is based on the communication and great warm customer service received. I walked in and picked up a business card since I am on my coop’s Board of Directors in the event that our Maintenance liaison wanted someone close by and local for any future quotes. The entire office staff was very warm in their reception. I have stuck their business card on my fridge for or in case I need them in the future.

After failing to replace the drain and piping under my kitchen sink, I gave in and called the experts.
From the time I called for service to the job being complete, just under three hours! Same day service seems like an understatement in this case.
Everyone I spoke to at this company was courteous and professional, from booking my appointment (thank you!) to the great dude (Ron) who fixed the sink up.
Also, I had purchased some sink parts in advance of trying to do this myself. The parts that could be used were, so cheers for not having them go to waste.
Great experience all around and I feel totally comfortable recommending Cambie Heating and Plumbing to any and all.

Great experience with Cambie Plumbing. Called in 2 days ago with a leaking sink. They had someone here in less than an hour. Ordered the parts and had our sink replaced for the next day. Price was fair and the two different staff they sent in were friendly. Will be using them for any future issues.

Fast and professional service. Very helpful plumber able to explain process and fixes needed.
Only disappointment was the added travel cost was not explicitly mentioned. My appointment lasted below 1.5 hours but was charged for 2 hours because of travel time for the plumber. This was not communicated during the quoting so make sure you understand what the quote includes so you dont end up with unexpected fees.
Overall, happy with the service.

Wouldn’t you know it — just got the new carpet in, new laminant, and THEN the hot water tank goes! Called Cambie Plumbing — Curt talked me back from the edge — turned off water etc. Josh showed up first am next day super nice, considerate, drained replaced old tank and installed new one. Really appreciated him taking the time to explain why he was doing what he was doing. Also appreciated he cleaned up and took away the old tank. oh, and he came back next day to ensure hot water tank was at right temp — etc. thanks again.

I needed someone to light the pilot light and troubleshoot my new gas fireplace. The pro: these guys were very nice and super quick to get out to my place. The con: they mis-​identified the problem entirely, based on one piece of data, over-​looking what turned out to be user error on my part. And, they told me that they couldn’t fix what they thought the problem was (replacing a switch) because they don’t do electric.
Fair enough, although that inability hampers their ability to do gas fireplace repair.
Anyway, yeah, I was stupid … but, the next guy quickly identified my stupidity and got me entirely sorted out.
