This is the typical type of bland, soulless establishment that is popping up more and more around this city and sucking the life out of it. Decided to pop in there in between afternoon meetings in Kits. Never heard of it, but it looks like a chain. Service was slow, the workers were nice though. The food was massively overpriced, and flavorless. Head up to Broadway or W 4th for better choices, or better yet, down by the water a few blocks away.

A classic. The best appie deal in town after 9pm. If you’re looking for late night munchies at a decent price then I would swing by Carlos/kellyos. Good place for casual none dramatic or fancy drinks too

We stopped in for a quick beer while waiting on our takeout dinner from next door. We sat up at the bar and the barmaid was super friendly and helpful. She helped my picky girlfriend choose a beer, while I had a strongbow. I wish we had more time in Vancouver to stop in again.

Pachos = Awesomeness and Extreme Pachos = Extreme Awesomeness! Authentic Irish food and pints of Guinness! Come in on your birthday and get one dollar off for every year of your age. Luciano!

I’m so happy that Kelly O’Bryans has come back to Vancouver and in the form of a pub called Carlos O’Bryans. It’s in a good location, especially if you live in the neighbourhood. There is free parking and meter parking right in front. I LOVE the Pachos and the Extreme Pachos have more toppings. The dip is phenomenal. I have found the serving staff to be pretty good and had no problem tailoring my orders. A negative note is the length of the drink menu. Having too many options to choose from can slow you down quite a bit. It’s an easy-going ambiance. The patio is great for those warm days. I haven’t been here at night yet, though the renos seem a better layout for the pub compared to the previous business. There are 2-for-1 appies at certain times. Be sure to come for your birthday, as the dinner is on Carlos!

I needed a spot that could host an event of over a hundred people on rather short notice. I called and spoke to the manager. He put me in touch with the owner. I sent him a quick email and he called me within minutes to sort out the details. Chris and his staff were able to accommodate our large group. They set aside nearly the entire restaurant for us. The food was fantastic(I was particularly fond of the Pachos and the Potato Skins) and the service was equally great. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with how well we were taken care of. I highly recommend Carlos O’Bryan’s to anyone looking for a nice, chill spot in Kits. A hundred stars!

This place is average at best. Who doesn’t toast burger buns? Menu needs huge overhaul and needs to get out of the 80’s… Also some of the positive reviews posted here are staff members and even the general manager had wrote a review… Drinks are great huge selection but food was quite a disappointment…

Rising from the ashes of Ceili’s, this place serves drinks, shows the game and has food. That’s two stars, but there’s not too much more than that, unfortunately. The layout is almost identical to the predecessor and staff are friendly enough, but there’s something missing. Maybe it’s that there are more staff than customers, or maybe it’s the overpriced food, or that they’ve dedicated most of their taps to the same type of beer(pale ales). Or maybe they’re just finding their feet. Whatever the story, while it looks like Ceili’s it feels like a place that’s trying to be both a fun downtown bar and a generic suburban family restaurant all at the same time.

Attended the spirited and anticipated opening of «kelly’s» right here in our beautiful west end. I have been back many times already with the service, specials and full genuine service leaving with a bright smile full of beer, joy and food. Try the pachos! !

Their California(melon) margarita is really good. In general, their drinks seem decently priced, especially compared to the rest of Vancouver. However, their food is overpriced. If I’m spending a little over $ 15 for a burger, I want it to be a damn good burger. A damn good burger it wasn’t. It was very bland and much in need of ketchup(for which I had to specifically ask for). For some reason, all their beef burgers come with two patties. I’d rather have one patty with better tasting ingredients. I would come back for drinks, but not food. Added note on 5÷8÷2015: My boyfriend and I came back for his birthday(he wanted his free birthday meal). I ended up having one of their flatbreads, and it was divine. I previously gave this place 2 stars for the above review, but I am now changing it to 3.

I visited the new Carlos O’Bryans in Kits and I would highly recommend going. Happy hour is awesome, great drinks and food. The gm/owners are awesome! Have visited Carlos O’Bryans in other cities and keep coming back for more pachos! So glad to see them here in Vancouver finally!

In the ruins of a once adequate Irish pub(Cèilis), this abominably-named establishment brings its generic brand of Kelowna choch-baggery to the heart of Kitsilano. If you were a fan of Cèilis’ wings, fear not, they are still serving what was left in the Cèilis kitchen at Carlos O’Bryan! Also, if you’re one of those lattice fries enthusiasts, they have that here! Finally, a reasonably-shaped fried potato product with melted cheese. Don’t worry, I’ve already informed the folks at Michelin, and we can be expecting a star or two later this year. On the positive side, Red Truck is not available as a beer option. Nailed it!
