My elderly mother saw this doctor for about 10 years, mostly because elderly people don’t like change, though I eventually forced her to switch to another doctor, who basically saved her life. The vast majority of Dr. Chang’s patients are Asian women, who, due to cultural reasons, insist upon seeing an Asian female doctor. Where to start… Well you have to wait at least an hour in a crowed waiting room before you get let into a waiting room where you wait another half an hour.
Dr. Chang walks in, sees the patient for literally 2 minutes, and walks out. If you ask her a question, she is rude and dismissive. It’s a real slap in the face. It turned out my mother had a very serious disease that could have been easily diagnosed if Dr. Chang had recommended the typical screening procedures for women that are my mother’s age, but for 10 years she never once had these procedures done. Basically this lady is making $ 37 per visit per patient. Family docs have a max amount they can bill, so basically Dr. Chang rushes through all her patients, not spending time to take care of their medical conditions so that she can go home and look after her kids (I know someone who knows her personally, who told me this).
That was about 5 years ago, when her kids were still young. Maybe she is different now, but I doubt it. I doctor who treats their patient as second or third priority isn’t doing her job, and can basically kill you by not diagnosing your problem. My advice to you? DON’T SEE THIS DOCTOR! Your life is worth more.
