Loved the Port Moody location. Smart move for the owner to move to Vancouver. Sad for me though since I live in Poco. Finally checked out the new place. They have made a few changes. Still delish. They’ve added new items to the menu & took a couple things off. They now gear towards take out. Which is why I find it so funny that everyone is going off about the no washroom thing. Legally they don’t need a restroom w/less than 16 seats. All in all this place is great. And I think it’s fantastic that they share a space w/fairy cakes as the piece of cake I had was delightful.

Chomp is a cute little place that maybe seats 8(2 tables inside, 2 outside). I will definately consider getting takeout next time but we ate there this time. Food is good but really small. I suggest getting 2 dishes for 1 person and possibly having a bit left over. Then again, it’s affordable, good, healthy food.

All thy need to do is add seasoning or sauce to their sliders and they will be perfect. its unfortunate because they are really well made otherwise. Vegan patties are dry they need oil or sauce to improve the texture/taste. The dinosaur roll was just okay. Once again, not much flavor, even the dipping sauce it came with was bland. I may go back, but only for the cupcakes next time.

Didn’t try the desserts, but the wraps tasted stale and lacked seasoning. Also, the lack of a bathroom is a major problem when serving food and drink. The staff was nice enough, but the food was disappointing. Wanted to like it, but probably won’t be back.

My sister and I were semi regulars at the their Coquitlam location. I was warned about the no bathroom situation from another Unilocal review, however, as far as I understand isn’t it illegal to be serving drinks and food without the offering of a public bathroom? Isn’t this a health code violation? I love the people working here as my sister and I used to go to the other location a lot, however, the bathroom thing is very dangerous health wise. I had to make a call to the health authority on this one when I reached home which sucks ’cause they’re such lovely people with a relationship that my sister and I have both grown to love but my health and doing the right thing always comes first to me. It took me 5 months to get here sadly just due to location and timing. The new location is now shares a space with Fairy Cakes. Love the food, however, they really need to get another proper location again for serving food.

This place could so easily be five stars if they just made a few changes. I wish I would have tried them at their other location before they moved since they seemed to have more selection and… a bathroom. haha No bathroom is a bit weird. They should really try and figure that out or move somewhere else if they ever want to grow beyond take-out. For our group we ordered a pizza, sliders, and a Caesar salad. Sounds like a lot of food but all the portions were kid sized. Not even exaggerating there. If you make a circle with both your hands and connect your thumb and middle fingers — that was about the size of the pizza. If it was 6 $ and on a kid menu I would be totally cool with that. But labelled as a ‘Main’ for 9 $… sorry, the majority of people don’t eat-out to be served bird sized portions.(I just checked out the website to see the prices and it says there is a full size pizza for 15 $. That wasn’t on the menu board when we were there. Otherwise I would have ordered that for sure.) Our bill ended up being more expensive than our usual dining out experiences as we got some dessert and snacks since the mains were so not filling. Without meat in a dish you need lots of veggies to be satisfied so super small portions just leaves you wanting more. If I were to rate on taste alone, everything tasted really great! Five stars for flavour. The sliders had nice soft buns and a good combination of toppings. The pizza was tasty. We all loved the dressing on the salad. What I recommend(to the owner) if they want to keep a wide range of customers coming back is: head over to Bandita’s and order a main dish from there. That food fills you up and if you eat like a bird, you’ll have leftovers. Also, the place is always packed — they are doing vegan style very well. Serving people satisfying amounts for a decent price. Really friendly service and I would love to come back if they offered more complete meals for mains instead of just appetizers. Instead of sliders for a main, why not a full size burger with a salad or fries? Charge a bit more for it and make the dishes actual meals and not appy’s. Sorry if this is a bit repetitive. Totally love this concept and can see them doing really well if they adapt. Also, the sign that says ‘we sell fairy cakes’ would probably bring more customers in if it said Cupcakes since no one knows what a fairy cake is. Not sure if it said ‘cupcake’ in fine print on there but I would put it in large print. I recommend trying this place out to sample the flavours — just don’t go on a completely empty stomach after a long walk. haha
