Not the most amazing cupcakes but good to try! Some are better than others but if eaten the day the yard bought, the cake is moist and frosting is soft but both are very sweet. My favourite is the blue hawaii for sure but the rest are generic tasting cupcakes. Overpriced in my opinion though!

If you’re going to a small party and dont know what to bring, well then this can be your solution. I always bring a dozen or two to friend’s house for dessert. I love cute and pretty little things. Cupcakes offers a wide variety of different flavors and in many different pretty colors. Taste-wise-well its just any other cupcake to me but definately better than the ones you get at superstore. They are not the cheapest, for 14 $ a dozen of mini’s, that’s over 1 $ each for one bite. The shops are nicely decorated and smothered in pink walls with cleaniness. They have many different locations across town. This one is located inside Oakridge mall which means convenience to get to via car or skytrain. They are really expanding their business with their first store on Davies street to I think now in Surrey.

I.Love.cupcakes. I get cravings from time to time and Cupcakes satisfy that no problem. The only thing is that the larger cupcakes doesn’t taste freshly baked at times. I have no idea why… that is why I always get the 12 pack assorted small cupcakes for $ 15. It is really good and the selection of flavor is not bad. My all time favorite would be the red velvet cupcake! They also sell adorable aprons!

The cupcakes aren’t inedible but they also aren’t all that awesome given the price. Most of the time, the cupcakes are dry from overbaking. The frosting is ok but doesn’t wow you. I find the whole thing too sweet no matter which one you get. The sugar pummels you in the face like a 250lbs boxer. I’d just as soon go get a cupcake from the Safeway bakery counter. The difference in taste is not that big but the price is. The staff are friendly enough but that’s about all I can say about this place.

Either the cupcakes are smaller or the boxes are bigger but this company has gone downhill from their start.

That’s it. I know that this place does not have great cupcakes but every now and then I get a craving and I wind up buying one to satisfy my urge. But after today, I’ve decided I will never buy another cupcake from this establishment again. Many years ago when they first opened, they had delicious, light, moist cupcakes and I really enjoyed them. Today, I purchased a red velvet and the Diva. Both of the cupcakes were dense and dry. And the icing did not help. Were the cupcakes possibly a few days old? I have no idea why this place does not put icing on the entire top of the cupcake. The part that is not encased in the muffin liner and exposed to the air dries out, making the dry cupcake even drier! Clearly, the owners of this place don’t bake. They even admitted to not knowing much about baking. I hope one day we get a Sprinkles here.

I only come here to get a cupcake when I am with friends. Before they franchised they used to be one of the best stores for cupcakes and also aesthetically pleasing. I love the color scheme and they have their branding down packed, however, the prices are $$ for the quality of ingredients and their batter needs improvement. Most times my cupcakes are dry. The frosting tastes nothing like buttercream. I know what buttercream tastes like as I bake cupcakes as a hobby. I have the similar sentiments over this and the Broadway. They now have«gluten smart», not free but smart cupcakes. Tastes similar, not very good.

Mmmm I am such a sucker for cupcakes and I really love this location! My favourite type is the kookoo cupcake — cream cheese icing with a coconut cake an coconut sprinkled top! Mmmmm! I can never resist whenever I walk by.

As the name implies, they sell cupcakes. When we were there they were having a 2-for-1 «after school special». We got brownie and mint chocolate. They were quite good!

Despite the fact that the cupcakes are expensive and probably way over-priced, I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for my daughter’s 5th birthday. As luck would have it, my daughter unfortunately got sick and we had to cancel the party — everyone from the venue to the entertainers and the caterers were understanding enough to allow me to reschedule without penalty. I contacted Cupcakes at Oakridge advising them of the situation and requested that the order be cancelled. Please note these were not customized cupcakes — just one of their standard flavours. I also didn’t request a refund, just a credit towards a future purchase however they flatly declined. Were entirely unprofessional and even refused to allow me to speak with the manager… I will definitely not go back and would not recommend them either. Totally over-rated!

This is a new location in Oakridge mall. They must be busy because at the end of the day when I arrived at around 8 pm on a Saturday they had only 4 cupcakes left and were closing up shop. Not to worry I picked up a pack of their minis instead and the kids loved it. I love cupcakes and this place makes delicious ones. They are a little on the pricey side but well worth fulfilling my cupcake and sugar cravings. They are definitely worth the calories!

I’ve never been to any of the cupcakes locations prior to going to this one just the other day. I will say that I love the overall appearance of the storefronts because they really stand out when you drive/walk by. One cupcake is $ 3.50. To me that is expensive for a cupcake. When I bought one I figured, «Oh, why not… I haven’t had a cupcake in a while.» Another part of me said, «This better be one damn good cupcake». I’m not very adventurous with cupcakes, so I just got a simple vanilla one with pink vanilla buttercream. After finishing my cupcake I had no regrets, but I will say that it was definitely not worth $ 3.50. It was a nice, large sized treat, yet to me it just tastes like a homemade one that my mom made. I don’t know, maybe one of the more gourmet ones would’ve convinced me otherwise. Because of the price, I consider Cupcakes a once-in-a-while type-thing. Honestly, I much prefer Butter’s cupcakes(even though they raised their price by 25 cents! Before it was $ 2.75 and now it’s $ 3.00).

great location for the Canada Line commuters coming/going thru Oakridge’s main doors. smaller than the other street store ones, but if you’re at the mall with the craving, this is it. Lemon is my fav. b/c it comes with a lemon jelly wedge ;)

This is a new Cupcakes location, situated right in Oakridge across from Qoola and beside Blenz. I find that the cupcakes are fresher and flakier at this location than the Broadway and Thurlow locations somehow. The selection is pretty awesome too. I have never seen Chunky Monkey nor the Cookie(Monster?). Service was very friendly and very attentive. They even have ice cream on sale for a hot summer’s day. Who doesn’t love fresh baked-on-the day of cupakes with creamy flavoured frosting? Love it and definitely will be returning again and again and again… *nom*

The Cupcakes sure work fast! The previous jewellery store wasn’t even closed last week and today, Cupcakes are opened! It is located at the entrance to the mall which is a dangerous location! Lots of people who entered can’t help but stop by to peek! I love how it is an open area concept in that you can see the staff baking and icing the cupcakes! I know the store on Robson and Kits don’t have fresh cupcakes which is quite evident in the taste and hardness of the cupcakes. Today is the first day opening, and I bought the mini variety pack for $ 12 and a regular size cupcake for $ 3. They are soft, moist… simply fresh! Gotta go back a few more time to make sure for myself that they are always fresh and not baked in advance… pretty good excuse eh?
