This place is amazing! High quality and delicious. They will also do group orders for pick up. It doesn’t look impressive on the outside, but trust that it is on the inside.

A neighborhood gem. It’s run by owners/chefs who love their food and their craft. Food is delicious. They do a brisk lunch business. I love their pulled pork mac and cheese. Southern style with the sweetness and tang of bbq’ing pork. Plus all sorts of other culinary offerings usually found at a trendy restaurant. Amazing at a «coffee café». Try it!

I come everyday and their coffee is simply the best I’ve ever had. I love the chickpea salad and veggie wrap or ciabatta sandwich. Friendly staff too!

I came here this morning before I went into the office. I’m not usually around this end of West Broadway and i’ve been meaning to try it. I’m glad I did. I was there just before 8 this morning so there was no line and lots of seating. The café and seating area was a decent size and had a variety of tables, bar stools and lounge chairs. I really liked the open concept of the kitchen area — you could see what is happening behind the scenes. I only grabbed a latte this time around. It was amazing. I appreciate baristas who know and understand that espresso has a shelf life of 5 – 7 seconds maximum before the crema floats to the top and shot essentially expires. I believe they use a Marzacco espresso machine which I find to give espresso a more authentic and rich flavor as opposed to the industrial espresso machines used at Starbucks(I worked at Starbucks for 6 years). The milk was rich and creamy and steamed to perfection. The barista obviously knew what she was doing because on its own the latte had a sweet taste. The staff were friendly and really cheerful. On top of espresso drinks their menu featured sandwiches and fresh made pizza. I really have nothing to fault this place on. I will definitely have to come back to try the pizza.

I stopped-in with friends visiting from L.A. and we had a great lunch, with generous portions, friendly service. No room left for those lucious cakes and pasteries, so we will have to return to try them with coffee)

I book marked this for future reference on May 5th. It’s awesome that it’s open really really early, however, sucks that it closes early as well. I’ve actually rode past this place many times on the bus thinking nothing of it, however, when I walked in I said to myself, «Why didn’t I learn about this place sooner.» Better late than never. Not only do they have a good selection of hot and cold beverages their menu eats are incredible. Everyone seemed really awesome and happy to work there. Everything is made fresh. I was told that the owner bakes until 5:00 am and then goes home and cooks for her family. You can’t buy that love and you can’t manufacture that either. Prices were very good. There is a lot of gluten free sandwiches including GF bread substitutions which made it easier for me to get my breakfast sandwich with my drink. Very warm feeling when you come in. Lots of seating inside.

My goodness — a smoked brisket sandwich that stands up to Schwartz’s(the Montréal standard) and puts all other Vancouver smoked meat to shame. Home smoked brisket. Not always available, so call ahead.

One of the best classic coffee shops in the area. Everything is baked or made in house that day. Not trucked in from Calgary or Ontario two weeks ago. Great coffee, great prices. The apple streudel muffin was a revelation.

If you want a good sandwich, come here, but only if they feel like making it for you. I was told after I ordered a Diablo chicken club, that they would not make it for me due to five people ordering it before me. Ridiculous!!! I don’t care that it will take a little longer, but to say«no, I’m not making it»? Good luck on long term success, if your plan is to say«no» to customers in a business where success is a combination of good food AND service. I for one will never go back to this place. It’s too bad because the food is good. If you want good food and good service, and don’t want to have the attitude or pay through the nose for some bread and meat, go to Chiffon Patisserie up the street, or Tim Hortons.

Deja Brew is solid, I have mostly good things to say, especially about their buckwheat brownies, if you haven’t had one… get on it… its amazing. Sometimes I can get frustrated ordering, it seems to take a long time, and depending on the cashier, even one’s that seem to have been working their for a while, its like they are unfamiliar with the menu… or maybe they just don’t like their job, fair enough. It’s a very clean café, very well organized, their spread looks delicious, their menu can be a little small, however their sandwiches are always so tasty.

While on a business trip in Vancouver, we stayed across the street from Deja Brew. It took us a couple days before we discovered Deja Brew, upon which we were immediately satisfied, and continued to have our daily breakfast here for the duration of our trip. The breakfast sandwiches were delightfully tasty and the coffee was prepared to perfection with just the right kick! Deja Brew offers a quiet and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy your morning fuels while ready the morning paper. A true delight!

It’s nice to have such a cute place with amazing fresh made food so close to the office. A must stop! Check out their soups! Such an interesting selection which changes daily. This is such a great spot for some of Vancouver’s best food. The fresh daily morning glory muffins are amazing(and healthy) as are all the baked goods but really if you want something special try the PIZZA! I love pizza and have eaten it from Rome to Vancouver and can honestly tell you that this is some of the best pizza available in Vancouver. I am vegetarian and Deja Brew caters to us and has gluten free items as well. But as to the pizza, it is made to order and ready in about 7 minutes(yes, I said 7 minutes)! It is hot and gooey and overloaded with toppings — never mind, if you can save some pizza for the next day it tastes so good cold. They also make spectacular sandwiches, salads and soups — oh I almost forgot about the tomato basil soup, how could I when it is sooo good — thick, rich and very tasty(and gluten free). Daily specials available as well! Desert is a whole other story — holy mac there is some good stuff here — peanut butter cheesecake is actually to die for as are Bliss Balls(doesn’t that say it all?), lemon tarts, power cookies that rock, oh baby I could go on. The owners are very sociable and make you feel very welcome. Do not miss this spot — it is one of a kind and seriously delicious(and affordable).

freshly made rotating specials daily; pulled pork mac & cheese and ‘mile high’ lasagna are hot sellers when available, and their chef– made soups are always popular. Tomato basil available daily. come in early for morning glory muffins and power cookies– they’re almost guaranteed to be gone before lunch! Pizzas and sandwiches made to the minute(kitchen terminology) Vegetarian and gluten free options are available on select menu items, and coffee is organic. Instead of pouring honey into your coffee, agave syrup is provided. The floors appear to be genuine textured stone, making the surface uneven– be careful with the tables.

So much more than a coffee shop! This place is clearly owned by a fellow foodie. All the menu and ingredient selections are top notch, everything is made in house with ethical and dietary sensitivities in mind. There’s everything from grab-and-go super healthy salads to fresh baked gourmet pizzas with homemade tomato sauce. And of course delicious coffee and treats. Their ham and cheese pastry was killer. Mmmm puff pastry…:). And their tea selection was NOT a bunch of boxes of Stash. Hooray for this little gem!

This is by far the best lunch/coffee place on the entire length of Broadway. Great service, delicious home baked goods, excellent salad/sandwich/pizza choices. Kelly the owner is always happy to stop and chat. Highly recommend this little gem of a stop.

It’s my first day today at the new job and due to my excitement and over-planning, I’ve gotten very little sleep. Hence upon arriving(early) near the old job, I pointed my feet to the closest Starbucks and discovered this gem of a place. Not only was the counter person efficient and friendly — she also knew exactly how to help tired and I decisive me. I ordered a tuna melt(it’s 7am) and a 16oz latte and a chocolate cookie for later. I am so impressed I tipped $ 4. Yay. What the perfect way to start ones day.

New café bistro in the False Creek/Vancouver General Hospital area(first week open)! A nice change from the fast food and sit down restaurants along the street. Super fresh(dough for the flatbreads made in-house every morning), fast(took only a couple minutes because of a speedy flatbread oven) and yummy lunch option. They are a café so they open at 7am for you to get your caffeine/breakfast fix on the walk to work. Really nice owners with an attention to detail! Everyone should give them a try! I posted photos of their menu so you can get an idea of what they make. These guys are a breathe of fresh air!
