All right, gave this place a chance since I was in the neighborhood and craving a donair, and ordered the Halifax Beef Donair. It is the worst thing I can remember putting in my mouth in a very long time. I don’t know how the meat qualifies as beef, and the sweet sauce, quite frankly, looks like semen and tastes awful. I was starving when I got this, and donairs are one of my favourite«Oh my god, I’m starving» foods. This was truly terrible.

By far the BEST donair and Greek plater in the lower mainland. Amazing customer service, family owned and very generous portions. I’ve been a regular customer for 2 years now and have tried many other donair places and nothing compares.

Haven’t been this month but the last handful of times we got chicken schwarmas they were delicious. Never leaves me sad for having left Montréal and New York(like many Vancouver restaurants tend to do).

Went there last night to get a donair. Didn’t get one because the people making the food were not wearing gloves. This is really gross. I know this business was for sale recently, so maybe new owners have taken over and are not up on basic food safety standards.

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite places for a quick take out. I’ve had the chicken and beef platters with dolma and tabouli. All of it was yummy. Portions are good and the family that runs this place is always friendly. Love it. You can get a good sized piece of baklava for $ 1.99 as well.

This is my default«oh god I’m starving and frustrated and in a hurry and don’t have time to cook and if I am not given food immediately I am going to turn into a giant ravenous werewolf and possibly start ripping limbs off of random passers-by» location. Fortunately, they always come through, and they help keep the world safe for another day. Chicken donair Halifax or Hawaii, with the sweet sauce and everything on it. Get the fried onion on it as well for a little crunch. Love ‘em.

Every since I discover this place in high school, I always crave for their chicken donair. Sometimes I even dream about it… I’ve tried their beef donair, chicken donair, and their falafel, but I always come back for their chicken donair. All the donairs and falafel contains lettuce, tomatoes, onion& parsley mix, tzatziki sauce, mysterious white sauce(not to sure what it is), spicy sauce, whichever kind of meat you have ordered, and it’s all put inside a pita wrap. Their meat are cut from the spit which I really like since it gives a nice crust on the outside of the meat. I find that the chicken is really nice and tender, the beef is a little dry, and the falafel is not crunchy on the outside at all and it taste a bit bland. The price has definitely gone up since I was in high school. The price for a regular size donair is $ 5.99 and the falafel is $ 4.50 now. Note: If you come here during lunch time, you’ll be waiting for you order for a while, since there’s only one person working and a crowd of students will be coming here for lunch.

Update, Donair Town on the Drive has changed owners and this food quality has gone down hill big time. They now weight the meat and the taste is now not the same as the previous owner. They can’t compliment the ingredient its just a sloppy mess of lettuce with sauce. Donair Town on Granville still one of the best Donair in town for the buck, quick, large and full of flavors.

I challenge anyone to walk by Donair Town and not swoon from the delicious smell of exotic spices emanating from this little shop. These donairs are _good_. While I’m not a huge meat eater, my husband loves their food, so from time to time I’ll find myself walking up the Drive to Donair Town to grab some dinner. Now, I’ve got to say that my absolute favourite thing about Donair Town is the lovely couple that owns the shop. Not only are they friendly, but they have a stellar memory. After having visited only a handful of times, they knew my first name and my order, complete with all the bizarre little requests that come along with it.(I swear it’s my husband that’s the high-maintenance customer –not me!) Ultimately, the food is delicious, the service is great, and the price is right. If you’re hungry and you find yourself with only a few bucks in your pocket, Donair Town is the place to be.

Donair Town has just opened in the old location of Falafel and Donair City. While not a creative reinvention with the name, the space has been updated a bit with a new counter, a splash of paint, and some new signage. Falafel and donair City used to be my favorite place on the drive o grab a Lamb Donair for lunch, so I thought I’d better take the new owners up on their $ 2.49 grand opening special and see if they could replace my old standby. The donair was tasty but didn’t quite measure up. The lamb was tender and nicely seasoned. The toppings were crisp and fresh, but rather sparse. The garlic and hot sauces had great flavor, but the tzaiki was pretty bland. The pita was a little tough as if it had been reheated and cooled a couple of times. A decent lamb donair and the price is definitely right. The donairs here are priced regularly from $ 3.50 and the comb specials start at $ 5.00 for a donair, chips, and pop. There were a few interesting additions to the standard menu including a Hawaiian and Caribbean Donair. I’m not sure how I feel about straying from a classic, but I’ll try anything once.
