They say it’s always best to shop local, but in this case not so much. It’s clear they rest on having a monopoly on the Vancouver market for drones. The staff are very disinterested. Getting information is like pulling teeth. You’ll get the information you want if you figure out exactly the right question to ask. I’ve had problems on several occasions trying to find out when different items are going to be in stock, as well as finding out what is included in various in-​stock items.
The store also provides little after-​sales support. I purchased a $ 200 DJI backpack from them, and 2.5 months later the stitching had all unraveled. When I tried to seek an exchange (at DJI’s cost, not theirs) they wouldn’t say no, but had no stock, did not know when stock would come in and would need regional manager approval. I got the regional manager’s contact details and left 3 voice messages and emailed, and got no reply at all. I acknowledge that an exchange might not be expected after 2.5 months, and I would accept a straight «no», but to not bothering to provide an answer was the real problem here.
My advice: you won’t get worse service if you shop online, and you might get better prices, selection, stock levels, and support.

Was just informed on Christmas Eve that the presents I ordered for my family would not arrive on time! The communication was poor and promises broken. Refused to go pick up the packages even though they are sitting at the airport. Terrible service while over promising and under delivering.

I looked at their website and saw they had a two models under $ 50 and a few under $ 100. I’ve tried to call repeatedly with no answer and no message service in place. I get there and theres a big sign, it said starting at 40 dollars. So I go in and the most affordable drone was 80 before tax. What a waste of time. The old bait and switch. I think they earned the bad karma so they will deserve any more robberies in the future.

Really needed a drone and just went to pick up a Phantom 3 at Drones Plus. The staff was very helpful and I’d recommend! Will be coming back on the next upgrade ;)
