Happy I Found Vintage Gems here in Vancouver. As an Los Angeles Local I clamber for some fresh vintage. I about fell on the floor when I walked in the door. The shop is relatively small but from ceiling to floor TOTALLYADORABLE!!! Wall to wall vintage finds and I left with a bag full of goodies. I hope anyone stopping in the Vancouver area pays a visit to Duchesse Vintage and Such. Give this woman ten minutes of your time and leave happy!!!

I think this is my new favourite store. My visual merchandising class was in the area to check out The Chinatown Experiment, and we wandered into Duchesse because you can’t keep a group of fashion students out of a vintage shop. I love love LOVE the setup! They’ve managed to decorate the entire store like a bunch of rooms, almost ikea style, but ALL vintage! I was also shocked at how reasonable the prices are. I attached a photo to this review of the chair-table(does it have a name?) I bought, which was only $ 65, and when I inquired about the price, I was expecting over $ 100. I bought it with no hesitation, as well as a sweet ass daisy knit throw blanket. I couldn’t take it home that day(bus and whatnot) and they were happy to hold on to it until I was able to come grab it. There is also a pretty good selection of shoes and clothes, and a million different little odds and ends. It all fits nicely into this small-ish space without feeling cluttered. I seriously love this table. And I need to go back and replace everything I own with the furniture in the shop because it’s way better.

Where did this amazing little gem come from!!! It’s small and more geared towards household vintage than clothing, and is set up more like a home showcase than a store which makes the experience quite nostalgic. I just want to move into this place and wear curlers all day while playing records.

this charming shop in the gastown/chinatown hood was the first of three amazing shops to open up on that particular block. they have vintage clothes for men, women and kids, antique furniture, other household décor stuff and random super amazing rare finds like my friend kayla’s golden vintage cat leopard ring thing. the two annas that are always there are the owners and they are super sweet. so if anything go just to say hi to the annas and listen to good music– but you will probably end up finding awesome stuff haha. i almost forgot! they sometimes have cute puppies hanging around in there so if you are a dog lover like i am you will be even more pleased that you popped in for a visit! i vote best vancouver vintage store.

This is a great store, here’s why: It’s full of great stuff, reasonably priced and well organized. The staff was exceptionally helpful, very kind and welcoming. Definitely a store we were more than happy to support, and will most certainly return to next time we are in the city. Great spot. Fingers on Blast recommended.

Duchesse Vintage and Such is a vintage and consignment store for both men and women, though most of its clothing is catered to the latter. It also carries an assortment of vintage furniture, housewares, accessories, and odds and ends. It is an amusing and intriguing browse-through and one would easily find it fascinating with the many oddities and trinkets housed inside the small shop. It is so carefully and wonderfully curated, one might feel as if they were in an art gallery or exhibit.
