This is a great produce place; quality is very high and prices are usually lower than the grocery store down the street. They always have English peas earlier than anywhere else in town — even Granville Market! They also have a good selection of asian dry goods, sauces, noodles, etc. other dry goods and spices as well. Prices for cans and some western goods can be higher, though, so be sure to price check if you’re not just there for produce.

I’ve been here before the last time I came and visited my best friend in his hood. The grocery store for what it is. is big! They have an amazing produce selection. Once in a while they will have sales, however, there is a decent turn around that there is a good selection. Prices for the hood are surprisingly decent. Customer service is neutral.

This is one of my favorite groceries ever. Rita and her brothers are entertainment in themselves. Reminds me of my 46 year marriage she way she orders her brothers around. Clearly whoever does the buying there is awesome. Prices comparable to the best markets on Commercial Drive and the selection is as good or better. Stongs nearby is nice for prepared foods which are not as healthy but I always get my fruits and veggies here.

Love this neighborhood produce store! They have a great selection of fruits and vegetables, and all in pretty amazing quality! Prices are cheap, and I’m told they’re all locally sourced! They also have a pretty extensive asian shelf food section, and their potted plants are really nice. Do yourself a favor and stop in Dunbar Produce!

Dunbar Produce is a regular easy stop on my way home– they always have the best bananas(it is obvious they take care with them) and a good variety of other produce. They also have lots of nice flowers and potted plants. I ask for advice on what is best for the season.

Produce, fruits and staples. Produce offereings similar to the big chain grocery stores… Its the fruit that is best. They source locally and are one on one with their suppliers. When Safeway red grapes are tasteless and too tart. Dunbar has them sweet and crunchy. Ask Rita for her honest opinion. She is a wealth of information on all that she stocks. When the big chains dont have… Dunbar often has. Seasonal favourites like black plums can be found in quantity and superior quality than you know who. Sugar mandarins a rare and somewhat unknown citrus… can be found here even when the ethnic groceries such as T & T or the Richmond produce stores are bereft of this gem. You can find unusual staples that the big corporate chains donot stock. A weekly hit on our list.

Neighborhood produce stores are great; they’re one of the best things about Vancouver. This one, from my experience, has a great selection of B.C. apples. Besides that, it’s your average produce store. The prices and selection are average.
