It’s more 3.5 stars… For now at least. First for the pros. This place is pretty large and has lots of tv’s for watching games or fights. For me, I was excited when I saw Bud Light on tap and in bottles. I’ve found, that in Vancouver many bars don’t sell BL(bud light). I was here for a fundraiser… $ 15 a ticket and you support a good cause and are fed a burger(beef or chicken), fries and a beer of choice from set menu. I’m going to say that the burger was not great, good or bad; however it did remind me of little league baseball food. You remember, right… Nachos chips with cheese whiz, ice cream and those plastic almost rubbery parties sold as hamburger? That’s what their burgers reminded me of. I’m thinking maybe they bought some frozen patties in bulk for this event. I hope these weren’t their standards because anyone at home could make a better burger with little effort. In their defense, the picture of the burger on Unilocal did not reflect the one I had. All in all I’ll be going back… For the BL(bud light) when my friends from Los Angeles arrives. I’ll order the burger again to see if I was right about the bulk ordering for our event.

Always good food, good service, and good beer. What more can you expect. Definitely a more low key pub but I like it because of that. It’s clean and cheerful. Will definitely be back!

Parking sucks, and the décor is a little lackluster, but the food here is amazing! Every single time I have been here(getting close to 10 times now), my friends and I have never had an issue with any of the food or drinks. Everything tastes awesome and is really decently priced. The Sweet Caroline wings are so friggin good! Not the best seating layout if you want to watch one of the tvs, but they do have lots of seating to offer for a sports bar, so that’s good. Make sure you come on Wednesdays(Music Bingo if no Canucks game is on). Tons of prizes!

Elephant Walk pretty much has the market cornered in this part of the city. Unless you count the dingy Cambodian fast food place across the street, but they don’t serve over there. Parking is plentiful, in a tiny lot out back(maybe 4 spots) and all over the streets. Which is good because this place is nowhere near the Canada Line. The food isn’t bad. I’ve eaten their appetizer platters and burgers, and both are decent(the platter food selection is pretty greasy though). With that said, this place wouldn’t be my 1st choice for fine dining. But it’s simple, basic, and feels good. If you’re into sports, this is also a decent place to watch the Canucks or whatever else. The screens aren’t the world’s largest or newest, but coverage is good. In other words, you don’t have to crank your neck. 2 other things worth mentioning: a) there is a pool table here. Oh, and there’s also a Cold Beer & Wine store attached next door. b) If you’re a guy, you’ll have fun at the urinals. Hint: score a touchdown, but don’t splash during the process.

Barely any parking there. It is one of the nicer pubs in the area(It’s slim pickens in this side of town). The food is average pub fare. I come here all the time but I wish I lived closer to the drive!

My floor hockey team stopped by after a game to grab some food and brew. I had the steak bites and honey garlic wings. There was something too special about them but also nothing to complain about. We had a wonderful waitress who was super attentive, knew her beers, and joked around with us all night. The only issue I have is that their women’s bathroom was lacking locks and toilet paper :(

A no-frills blue collar pub tucked inside a residential zone — nothing fancy. Some of the waitresses are pretty sassy and may throw a menu at you or roll their eyes if you’re taking too long — it may offend some, but I took it in good humour. Came here when they were holding a celebration for Alexander Keith’s birthday — a lot of drunken awkward dancing in front of the polka band. The ‘dance’ floor is right by the main entrance and the live music dominated every conversation — so it’s either a place you love or hate. There is a lot of beers on taps — but they are mostly from Molson and Anheuser-Busch with a few smaller microbrews thrown in. Ask for a Kilkenny and you’ll probably get a Kokanee. One of the party noted to the waitress that her Guiness tasted ‘watered-down’ — she apologized and said he never heard that before and no other recourse was given. The server was nice enough to seperate our bills and didn’t add auto-gratituty for our large group. But she was nowhere to be find when we tried to pay our bill. Not a place to get cocktails or fru-fru drinks — just but a good place to grab a ‘brew’ at the bar with other working stiffs and air grievances and complaints about work. Not my scene, but I’m glad there’s a place like this.

Okay, place is a pub. So it’s got beer. Good job. But the food, geez. Sunday was really good, burger special for $ 5.25, that’s a wicked deal and it tasted… like a burger! Actually was really good, nothing special but much better than McD’s…sometimes. So we thought, hey, its Friday and its close by let’s grab a quick bite. Friday special is $ 12.99 Lamb Roast, I love lamb. But not this lamb, this lamb was like 3 pieces of dry cardboard with gravy on top. I was lucky there was gravy and hungry, it was the only reason I could finish most of it. I could probably eat slices of rubber if it was sloshed with gravy. My fellow Unilocaler couldn’t even finish it and tried to pass it off to me, I never say no to food but arghhh it was horrid. Only morsel worth eating was the potatoes.(sigh) Thumbs down, I can’t believe we both ordered it… stupid marketing scams and their special«special» words… Atmosphere is great for watching the games, its a pub through and through. Service: Awesome. The waitresses are the best. I’d come back for the beer, nachos and the servers. Plus the giant-sized patio with lots of LCDs inside for sports. Suggest: Beer + Burger.

I didn’t see any elephants anywhere, so I’m still curious as to how the name came to be. Standard pub quality. Decent prices. Beer served in frosty glasses(reminds me of A&W root beer). Only had nachos so can’t really speak much on the menu, but if you’re in the area and just want a simple place to grab a beer, this place will do.

I love food. I love food. I love the occassional bit of pub grub. I love food. I repeat myself and HEY! Did I mention? I repeat myself. BUT I DON“T LIKEHAVINGTOCONSTANTLYREPEATMYSELFBECAUSETHEMUSICISTOOLOUDANDBEINGPIPEDATMETHRUSOMEAWFULSPEAKERSAND I CAN“T HEARWHAT I“M SAYINGORANYONEELSEEITHER. *sigh* I“m a fan of convenience for certain but I’m not going to sacrifice things like uhm… comfort and good service and good product just because something is reasonably close. The food was barely average. Amongst us we consumed a decent burger, an average chicken quesidilla, the World’s 2nd Worst Poutine(was so awful it was impossible to photograph) and some reasonably average calamari which was topped with the World’s Most Repulsively Fishy Red Onions(pardon?) that overshadowed and ruined the dish. Service was decent when she was offering to bring us more drinks. But when we could no longer tolerate the music and wanted the bill, she took forever. Which was rather rude. I had gone there to celebrate with a group, but once I was done I left before I could properly yell with them. Sorry guys… I guess I’ll just have to go back to hanging out with them on Facebook. Sorry, will not be returning to this establishment.
