I recently paid to attend a Fastlife Event. Then shortly after that I received an email saying there will be no more events. I emailed and left a phone message for the organizer(Nadia Marchant), asking for a refund. But of course no reply. This event is a scam!

Fastlife(owned by Plenty of Fish) mainly hosts speed-dating events. This is a review for their«Cupids Playground Valentines Mix & Mingle» event which I attended tonight. It was an absolutely horrible experience. For one thing, their email mail-out had the wrong address and time! It also said that your entrance fee included a free drink if you arrived before 9:30pm. That was a lie. I arrived at 9:06pm and the complimentary drinks were finished and one of the«hosts» rudely told me that the advertised activities were over and now«was time to mingle by yourself». So basically, it’s like going to any bar. Except here you have a few people who pretend to be hosts but really spend their time talking to each other and taking group selfies. Basically, it’s a scam. I spoke to another guy there and he mentioned that he had been to a previous event and it was just the same; about 75% men. And of the women, a lot of them were«hosts» ie. they were probably employees of Fastlife who were asked to attend to help balance the numbers. The worst thing is these people were anything but hospitable. They were EXTREMELY rude and bothered anytime you asked them a question, apart from one lady who had actual people skills. One the bright side, these«hosts» were so disinterested in doing their job that no one stood by the door to check if you were on the guest list, let alone acknowledge your existence. Basically, if you are considering attending one of these«events» don’t bother buying a ticket. Just turn up to the venue. No one will even care if you’re there.
