I would not recommend going to this nail studio. I went recently with a friend for walk-in gel manicures — not filled nails, just UV polish. It said on their advertising board outside that this would cost $ 20, but one of the staff really rushed us in so I didn’t get a chance to really examine the services menu. Although the staff weren’t rude, we didn’t feel welcome or valued as customers. It felt more like they were rushing us in and out as quickly as possible, even though it wasn’t busy at all. The quality of the service was not satisfactory. There are visible defects including flecks of some brown substance on multiple nails for both of us. It has only been a week and the polish is already chipping. Additionally, we were charged $ 35 and not $ 20. Overall, the experience felt unpleasant, rushed, and like we were ripped off.

I should have gone with my bad gut feeling and walked back out. I got an eyebrow wax and it was terrible. First of all, I felt rushed like just getting an eyebrow wax meant they didn’t have to bother with customer service. Second, the lady did not clean my brows with anything, or straighten them out to make sure they were in the direction of hair growth-she applied wax to them right away. After asking me to look after she had finished, I was not impressed. I still had half of the hairs in patches which made my unibrow look worse. When I voiced this, she started plucking them while I was STILL sitting up letting the hair fall down my shirt!!! She seemed annoyed that I had answered her question by saying that I was not satisfied. I can still see a lot of hairs that I will have to spend time plucking myself… Never going back for any of their services!!!

I was coming here regularly for a average /slightly above average mani /pedi but had 2 bad experiences so I stopped, the first one I was getting a mani at the same time and the person working on my pedi had a friend sitting talking to them the whole time so I was forced so sit sideways and stretch my hands over both onto one side, not very relaxing, the last time they talked me into getting a manicure then for the water to soak my hands in the girl dipped the little hand basin thing into my dirty foot water instead of getting clean water, this was after they had scrubbed etc my feet in it, gross !

I have been getting my gel nails done here for about a year now, and they last a very long time without breaking! :) If you’re getting them done, ask for Nancy, the owner! She does a fantastic job. The salon is very clean and everyone is very friendly!

I have been to this salon many times before but my last visit, a pedicure and manicure with gels was a disaster. Two older women defended on me and did a truly quick and incomplete job of both. It was a polish change at best at the price of a full pedicure and manicure. I usually look forward to my mani pedis as a way to relax but this was so rushed it was unreal. I will look elsewhere in the future!

I love thíis place. They just have the new owner with the new décor. Everything is so bright and fresh. They still have the old employees with best skill I have found in Van in general. Ask for Ivy or Anh… not sure how to pronounce her name :). However they gave me the fastest, cleanest and longest lasting ever. Im working in a restaurant where my hands always soak in water, and my gel nails last for more than a week. What a miracle!!! Usually it last for 4 – 5 days lolz. Anw, great place, very clean, the girls/lady are super friendly ;). Highly recommend

Good experience over all. Girls were sweet and very helpful. Only complaint I have is one of the ladies there said my toenails were good and dry for me to put my shoes on. Low and behold, when I got in the car and checked them out, they messed up. Gotta partly blame myself for that one. Also, water was a little dirty when I put my feet in, though I did see them wash the bowl when I was done. Would give it another go.

I found them last year. The 1st time was great. I had a pedicure and no chip polish for my fingernails. They polish lasted 3 weeks which I thought was excellent. The 2nd visit was bizarre. After requesting a manicure and pedicure again, a woman led me to the back room but I couldn’t understand why, nor could I understand what she was saying. When I asked her to please repeat what she’d said, she took hold of my wrist moving me toward a table and plunged my hand into what turned out to be warm wax. It was bizarre. I pulled my hand out saying no and by then another girl nearby told me to follow her. She sat me in the pedi chair when I realized my pave diamonds wedding rings were covered in wax. It couldn’t have happened to a more difficult setting to remove the wax from. It was in every nook n cranny. I had to work on it delicately for hours trying trying get the majority of the wax out. Neither the pedi nor the mani were good like the first time and didn’t even push back the cuticle on my toes. Giving them another chance, the 3rd most recent visit I had the shellac polish starting to lift in 3 days. By the 5th day, I was missing 4 of the 5 on one hand. I’m wondering if it is under new management but regardless, I won’t be back.

Frosted Nail is THE place to get pedis in Vancouver. It took me a long time to find this place 4 years ago and I have been coming here ever since. Things I love about Frosted Nail(and there are many): — It doesn’t matter which of the girls you get… they all do a wonderful job — They don’t rush through your appointment, even if it is busy. I get perfect toes EVERYTIME — There is a fantastic nail polish colour selection in the salon — There is no high pressure upsell… you get what you ask for with no hassle — They are willing to fix mistakes with no attitude — The chairs are comfortable and you get a great leg massage with your pedi — All the girls are respectful and friendly — They have a stamp card loyalty programme that means you get $ 15 off every 5th visit — They are realistic about how soon they can take you if you’re a walk in. There’s nothing more annoying than being told«5 minutes» when you end up waiting more like half an hour or more — They are THOROUGH with the pedi… no more calluses or cuticles when you’re done there — Finally, they are accommodating. Speak with Tiffany if you have a particular request and she will make it happen for you! On the downside: — Not the cheapest pedi in town, but for my money I’d rather pay $ 5 more and get a good job than go for cheap and nasty I have since moved across the border to Seattle and, after multiple bad experiences in the US, I still come back to Vancouver for my pedis… this place is that good. I feel bad for the reviewer who gave this nail salon a low score, as I truly believe their experience was a one off. I’ve been to Frosted Nail literally once a month(or more) for four years and have been more than satisfied after every single visit.

Today was my first Frosted Nail experience, and I’ll be back. I got a mani-pedi for $ 50 — granted, this is a huge(I’m being sarcastic) $ 5 more than what I usually pay, but you get FREEPARAFFIN for your hands with a combo. I never get paraffin because I refuse to pay $ 10 for wax hands, but it was quite lovely, with the heated mitts and all. The girl who did my pedicure(Claira) was fantastic. Super thorough with my ambitious calluses, fierce with my untamed cuticles(it had been a month of flip flop wearing since my last pedi), and gave me a great scrub massage AND a great lotion massage. Fantastic. The girl who did my nails(at the same time) gave me a fantastic arm and hand massage, and moved around the chair so I wasn’t reaching across 50% of the time. My nails look fantastic — great shaping, perfect polish, huge shine. I take off one star because she complained about the state of my feet two or three times(I KNOW, I KNOW… this is why I’m paying you to do it and will tip you ridiculously well) and THAT isn’t relaxing. That said, I did tip well, and love the job they did. I’d recommend. Just don’t have calluses like mine, and no one will say a word. :)
