Gordon’s Auto Body Works

I was rear ended and searched around for a reliable auto body shop. Gordon’s was great choice! It was a bit of a wait to get in because they were so busy, but worth it. When I went to pick it up, they went through the work they did with me, I asked them to do that before signing off on any papers — but did not need to be concerned as they are a honest company. It was cleaned and washed and they even fixed the scratches on the hood of the car from the neighbourhood cat (something they didn’t tell me but I noticed when I got home). Would recommend this shop.

I’m a repeat customer with ICBC and the team at Gordon’s. The best quality repair in both instances and great service. From the looks of the other reviews their performance is consistently good too. Highly recommended.

I want to start off by saying that I didn’t actually get a repair done here. I wanted to leave a review however, because of the super nice service they provided me even when I wasn’t a customer.
They were able to walk a block with me to look at my car when I was confused as to where I should park. That was nice of them, they didn’t need to do that 15 minutes before they closed but they did.
As well, they were really honest with me about the costs of the repair — they literally told me that it wasn’t worth it and even told me how to avoid similar problems in the future. I appreciated the honesty and that they didn’t try to invite me to do repairs for the sake of making business.

Might be okay to bring your car here for an ICBC claim, but I went in for a quote to get my white fender painted. It had some overspray from when I did a DIY job in my garage but overall was a perfect dent/​ding free fender and all I wanted a paint job. I drove by as they’re near my house and the guy quoted me $ 1000 to paint my fender… He said that to colour match the colour and mix it to do a perfect job would be ~$ 1000. There are plenty of shops that can do a perfectly good job of painting a fender for less than a third of that in Vancouver and I took that quote as an insult and his way of saying «we don’t want to do business with you».
My friend managed to polish out the overspray for free…

A colleague reversed my car into a truck. Awesome. It’s still an ongoing headache but these guys fixed up the bumper no problem. There was a little bit of conversation back and forth but they took the time to talk me through it, and let me rearrange my appointment when I needed too. Even though I was super grumpy when I picked the car up (still seething at how much I’m going to have to pay back to ICBC but that’s another story), they were all totally nice AND they cleaned my car inside and out. If you need an ICBC repair, this is the place to get it done!

Incredibly friendly staff, from the shop guys to the receptionist, everyone said hello. My car was serviced in reasonable time. I didn’t need a courtesy car the whole time but last minute needed to run errands. I called and asked if they had something for me to use for a few hours. Sure enough they had a nice Toyota Corolla ready for me to pick up at my convenience.
When I got a call from Jeff at Gordon’s telling me my car was ready I made some time to go get it detailed afterwards. I was incredibly surprised to see that they had completely detailed my whole car. It looked amazing. I’m certain they even did the trunk!
I would highly recommend them and am glad that I came across them for my car repair needs.

Excellent service; they do have loaner cars. They are quick and responsive and good at what they do.

I went to Gordon’s after a rear ender accident. I needed a new bumper, and ICBC was footing the bill.
It’s in my neighbourhood so I’m happy to support them. They did a great job — they were able to take my car right away and work on it while I was away from Vancouver.
My car looks fantastic — you’d never know it was in an accident! They also buffed out an unrelated part of my car so that was a plus. Gordon’s also apparently details your car before you pick it up — the inside looked amazing and had that ‘just detailed’ smell!
I think they also have courtesy cars — I didn’t need one, but the guy picking up his car while I was there was returning one, so that’s a bonus.
The only thing is the price. Their labour rates are very high — it didn’t matter because as I said ICBC was footing the bill, but they replaced a bumper and the total was $ 5100. Granted, I don’t know the extent of the damage under the bumper etc, but I took a car in to an autobody shop in Richmond a year ago and they replaced a bumper and repaired quarter panel for $ 1800. So a Vancouver west side autobody shop definitely has west side prices.
Still, great, friendly service, and they were quite accommodating around my schedule.
