Went back in this weekend and talked to the guy… he told me that the computers shut the door at exactly 4pm. He was a nice guy and I felt like a jerk for getting mad at him: especially for writing a negative review. A good lesson #dolphinlife

Annoyed with the ururious expense of sending a package via Canada Post and my recipients growing weary with the endless back and forth with UPS and Purolator after receiving those annoying door stickers, I knew I had to look for an alternative shipping method. Greyhound Courier Express is a standalone building about a block away from the Bus Terminal. They allow packages much larger than allowed by the postal service and at a price that appears less than half. My latest example was about 102 pounds of boxes sent to Calgary, arriving the next day, for $ 70 all in. I can’t imagine how much Canada Post would charge for the same service, but it would probably involve taking out a second mortgage to pay for it! You can arrange for counter pick-up or delivery for a small fee. There is not online tracking although you do have a waybill number that you can refer to if you call for an update. I’ve been able to walk right up to the counter without a wait the last couple of times I have been there. Overall, an excellent, affordable way to ship.
