A hole in a wall in my opinion. Early morning brunch congee with flat noodles. Yum! I am a lover of congee and I can have congee my whole life, but I do not like rice itself though, which is kinda weird. Anyways, I love this place as it has great food and great service. The congee here is in a decent sized bowl. I rarely finish the bowl as it is huge and with the combo of flat noodles, it really is hard to finish. The congee is thick with rice and tons of ingredients. Each spoonful is always pleasing to me here. For those congee regular eaters you realize your congee bowl gets thinner and thinner, but to be honest, this one gets thicker and thicker as you keep going into it. This means that the bowl of congee is always freshly made. Another thing I notice is that this place is dirty though. Yes, even though it is dirty the food is amazing and it is very cheap. I really call this place the hole in the wall for congee and a nice early brunch. I come here often for brunch and lunch with my mom. I love this establishment a lot. The service as usual is sub-par, but because we became regulars here, they know us by now. The place has really bad colour of yellow, and brown. It reminds me of Curious George books when I read as a child. I come here often, so you might find me here sometimes with my mom having a nice bowl of congee and dish of flat noodles. Oh, only negativity I dislike is that they only take cash…

My neighbourhood, late night, chinese food hang out. For the Renfrew and 1st area, if your out late, and your in this area, then this is one of the places with ok food. It’s definately not the greatest, but it fits the bill. Price is reasonable, with your huge dishes of fried rice, congee and noodle if you order the bigger sizes. They have many specials, from if you order a number of dishes, and you get the rice and a side dish of bbq pork free, to the late night specials, which are each like $ 5.99, and if you order 4 dishes, you get the plain congee bowl for free. The selection on the menu is actually vast. From all your fried rice and noodle selections, to the other dishes. They constantly have listed specials on crabs and lobster to choose from. Also looking at their advertisement in the paper, they actually have an early morning special too. Just remember, if your using credit card, they only take it after $ 20, but they do take debit, which always help. I actually sometimes come here to do some take out. The prices are reasonable, and the fried chicken wings here are pretty good!

Enjoyed congee with my meetup walking buddies. Being the second time I ever sampled congee I was/am amazed at the variety of flavours and inexpensive menu options. Would so go again!
