I always have an excellent experience there. The store always has a beautiful display and is at the perfect location, right across from Louis Vuitton and the Tiffany store. Look for Chris — he is always helpful and patient. Takes his time to understand what your style is and remembers what you want and lets you know when it comes in. His professionalism is what brings me back to the store every time!

Hermes.(pronounced«Er-meiz, not Her-mees) Beautiful store! Terrible selection of handbags and ladies you may not be in lucky enough to admire those much coveted(or now detested) Birkins. I always blame the aunties for cramping ANY fashion houses’ style. The classic styles(bag and wallets) are usually sold out and the left-over colors are deserted in the display shelves. However, There’s a good selection of the signature H Bracelet and if you can’t find the color or the finish of your heart’s desire you can always leave your contact info with the staff who’d happy to give you a ring when they see it pop up in store next. The scarfs are beautiful here for $ 300+ which makes a good«cheaper» gift idea from Hermes. Cheerio!

Very clean presentable store with a decent selection of leather goods, however, nothing screamed at my style wise. Not the most unique styles in town, however, if you’re in the area it is good to walk in and browse. For those women who’ve never seen a Birkins bag… you can see here what the legends are made of.

Somewhat a small selection of handbags :( Otherwise superior service and very clean store.

Woohoo! is right. Very expensive and very exclusive. Buy Coach or something like that if you don’t have the money. The aroma wafting from this store is worth a visit. It smells of exclusivity and the products have a special poor-repellent coating. Kevin O’Leary’s favourite tie shop and my favourite source of quality leather nick knacks.

My Birkins are some of the things I would take from the house if it was burning down, so needless to say, I have a soft spot for things Hermes :) The quality of this brand is wonderful. I love that the brand is more understated and doesn’t have logo overkill. My Birkins are total workhorse bags and still look wonderful with daily/regular use. Their silk scarves are amazing quality and there are designs to suit every personality. The only product issue I’ve had has been with their wallets(I’ve since switched to Chanel) — mine had problems after only about a year of use and I was told I was overstuffing it(not really true) and had the pleasure of spending almost $ 200 to fix the loose stiching and sealant. Sigh. Other classics are their enamel bracelets and fragrances are based with quality ingredients. I don’t get their watches, but I got that from my parents, who always said never to buy a watch from a design house… watches should come from watchmakers! I also don’t get their clothing which caters to an older market… even if I was rolling in cash, there is no way I’d spend $ 1K on a t-shirt or $ 750 on a beach towel! That being said, the Vancouver store isn’t one of my favorites. It’s average sized but I find the service more aloof than other locations. Prices for Hermes in Canada are worse and although this is a brand where store loyalty is important for ordering and acquiring the elusive Birkins, I have bought most of my items from the US stores since the conversion hasn’t worked in our favor in the 3 years I started using the brand. Good stop for holiday shopping, although an orange box with the brown ribbon is really appreciated any time of the year :)

Wow is the first thing that went through my head when I stepped into the store. No retail pressures, staff is more than willing to help you make an informed decision on your product of interest. Quality goods that will last a long time is what this company is about. Definitely worth going back.

Hermes is as good as it gets. I get chills just walking near the place. The only word for Hermes is «fabulous». The best ties, the best fragrances(I wear Poivre Samarkande), the best of the best. Check out the unreal agendas and diaries. Luscious leather goods. The stores always smell delicious. Did I say I love Hermes? I do.

Even if you don’t know how to pronounce it,(is it a silent«H and S» or a hard«H and S»?) you know distinction and class and poshy attitude when you walk past, walk in, or actually buy something at Hermes. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1. Bags which you can’t get: The Birkin is thousands of dollars and still on back-order. The Kelly is just bloody expensive, but if and when that bag arrives in my closet I will never ever leave it alone. 2. The scarves. 3: The watches… oh the watches. love the watches… and wallets and belts and all the other goodies. 4. The shiny, chrome like finish on everything. 5. Love the salespeople. Who is Hermes anyways? Is it like Chloe or Coco or Salvatore?

Hermes is a classic. Even amongst the plethora of high end labels and distinctive monograms that haunt people’s bags, wallets and belts, Hermes has no equal. Their tradition of producing high quality leather goods and silks ranks them far above other fashion houses. Rather than cater to passing fads and trends, Hermes consistently remains true to their original mandate that centres on quality craftsmanship and luxury without compromising functionality. While their scarves and bags(like the Birkin and the Kelly) still stand as the main showponies, their watches are exquisite and what I truly for after. Especially the one that wraps around twice. Done up in their distinctive brown, it just looks so elegant and beautiful.
