Robert did such a great job! I got highlights and low lights and I couldn’t be happier with the results. In addition to loving my hair, I love this salon! They play fun music, offer you a beverage immediately and make you feel so comfortable. Everyone that works there is friendly and fun. My overall experience was fantastic! I highly recommend this salon!

I am very picky about my hair. I booked an appointment with Tara and oh boy she is amazing. She took the time to get to know me and how I take care of my hair. She started cutting a little by little and told me that if I wanted it shorter we can always go back and cut more. After my haircut (and a glass of wine) she told me if I want my hair more layers or any changes to just pop in and she is going to take care of it. It’s hard to find this type of service. In the end I love my hair. Thanks Tara

Alex did such a good job on the hair I nearly destroyed by box dying it black! It took about 7 hours to lift, and tone, and everything else! But it was totally worth it! Alex was also very nice and offered me water and even sandwich! He is super friendly and definitely worth paying a visit to.

So… I HAVE to write a review on my first and most recent visit to this salon.
I’ll be honest. I have been YET to find a hairdresser that actually KNOWS what they are doing and is HONEST. I’m 33. I’ve been black, blonde, brown, red, have had extensions of every kind. So I would say i’m a pretty experienced customer.
I couldn’t find a salon in Vancouver. So i went to Unilocal and Facebook to find the best reviews. I wanted an ombré type look on my post-​pregnancy hair (it’s a wreck). Everywhere said that Erin is the best person to do blondes and she worked at In Salon. (I didn’t know at the time she was the owner). So I booked with her.
CAN I JUST SAY: WOW!!! She was by FAR, the most EDUCATED, HONEST hairdresser I have been to IN MY LIFE. And I have been to some of the best salons in Toronto as well. She straight up told me — ya, that would great eventually but here’s what you need to do NOW for your hair… she could have told me what every other hairdresser does «Oh go lighter, get highlights» and then my hair is fried afterward and comes out brassy or redder than when I went in before. She actually ended up DARKENING my hair (which looks AMAZING!!!) and got rid of the reddish tone I’ve been trying to get out for 3 YEARS.
Then, she cut it — which is something I have refused to do for like 4 years… and I have gotten nonstop compliments on it. It’s thicker, has some style to it now… she could have talked me into getting highlights which is more expensive but she didn’t…and I appreciated her honestly with me telling me that I would look better darker and once it’s healthier we can lighten it up a bit on the ends. She gave me exactly what I wanted without me even really knowing what I wanted!
She took her time, she didn’t rush. the last salon I went to in Vancouver rushed so fast through it that she sprayed water in my eyes and got hair dye all over my face which took a week for me to get out of my skin.
She went over what products I should use and why but wasn’t pushy.
Lastly, when I went to cash out, she offered me $ 25 off for my first visit — something I didn’t’ even know about and she didn’t have to let me know about — and THAT i really appreciated as well. It’s a nice token as a first time customer and it makes you want to go back and refer them as well.
THIS IS WHY people have such positive reviews on this salon and her because it truly is amazing. I will definitely go back and she is now my new hairdresser for as long as she is here lol.
I honestly hope if you are reading this and debating on going, to book with her!!!
I don’t get to go to the salon much — I’m a stay at home mom of two little ones, but she didn’t rush, I didn’t’ feel like I was «just another customer», which I know I am, but you aren’t made to feel that way.
Also, I was paying attention to the rest of the staff as well while I was there because i’m always curious when I go out to new places… she has a great team too and every person that left there left with AMAZING HAIR! So to anyone thinking of booking to get their hair done there — go!

Robert Dicks at in. salon is one of the best hair stylists I’ve ever seen. Not only does he know how to make me more handsome, but he makes it fun! His fun and charming nature make getting my hair cut an enjoyable experience and less of a chore.

I had my hair extensions dyed to match my current hair by Whitney and what an incredible job she did! My hair extensions are identical to my hair. Whitney is a very friendly & professional stylist. If you plan on going here ask for Whitney! I will be back when I need a touch up :)

I’ve had Whitney cut my hair several times now and I must say she is superb. She is very friendly, knowledgable and she sure knows her stuff. I was using several types of products combined to get a desired effect and with Whitney’s expertise she suggested two new products which got me what I wanted and more.
I’ve found with Whitney, she can tell if I’m in a chatty mood or just feel like reading and that’s really important to me. She is great at what she’s does and gets things done quickly without feeling rushed or sacrificing quality in any way.
I better book my next appointment soon as it looks like the secrets out!

Whitney is awesome!
She is a texture specialist. I wanted curly hair as my hair is poker straight (long too), it is hard to find a salon who will still do perms. But Whitney was more than thrilled to curl my hair.
It was my first time there with her and the salon, she is friendly, professional and very knowledgable. I showed her pictures and she got the curl just right. It dropped a little after a week mind you, but i just use product as she says. Overall thrilled with her. We stunk up the place a bit but soon it dissipated (perm solution). She is thorough and consciencious and will do as you please. She spent a lot of time with me and makes great conversation. Will definitely see her again and highly recommend. People just love my new look as Do I, i highly recommend Whitney as she is trying to build clientele there being a newer stylist to the salon. Her training and credentials will blow you away, along with her patience. will be back for sure!
