I checked out the It’s All about Grill food stand at Richmond Night Market. The ladies working were offering $ 5 for 5 bbq chicken on a stick. They offered various flavors. So, the price was good. The chicken was good. The service was good. The portion was good.

It’s a 2.5 at best I think. I was a bit skeptical to try this place after Aaron’s review, but it certainly had a large gathering at the noon hour, so I bit the bullet and got in line. And after not-moving for over 10 minutes, I realised why there was a line. With only one person working the truck, everything was taking a REALLY long time to come out. I went over to a second truck, got some food from them, finished it, and we had only moved two steps. Almost 40 minutes later, we were finally at the front. We split a 7-skewer option between the two of us. In our cup were: chicken, lamb shoulder, beef, pork, bacon-asparagus, and two bacon-sausages. While the bbq crispiness is a selling feature, after a while all the meats started tasting the same. We even got confused near the end unsure of which skewers we had split. My favourite would have to be the bacon-asparagus only because it had a more unique flavour. If you’re not ordering all of them, the lamb is definitely a good option. Our portions were certainly a lot larger than what Aaron had reported, so I guess they worked on that issue. Each full-sized skewer had four pieces of meat on it. The meat was all tender and juicy, nothing dried-out and nothing under-cooked(one of my bigger worries for things chicken and pork). Wouldn’t mind going again when the line isn’t so crazy — it kind of made the food portions not worth it. I do think they need a second person, or some way to speed up the cooking process though.
